Professor Dato' Dr. Zaliha Omar is a pioneering force in Malaysian rehabilitation medicine, with over 25 years of experience establishing multidisciplinary rehabilitation practices and academic programs. She is renowned for her expertise in physical impairments, knee disorders, neck pain, and stroke treatment, and has received numerous accolades including an Honorary Fellowship of the Australasian Faculty of Rehabilitation Medicine and the Darjah Dato' Paduka Mahkota Perak (DPMP) for her significant contributions to disability rehabilitation and academic advancement. As a former President of the Malaysian Association of Rehabilitation Physicians, she played a key role in elevating the specialty in Malaysia and the ASEAN region.
