1. The health screening crews were amazing and friendly. What I didn’t understand is why they do not provide electronic copies and you have to request and pay for the images of ultrasound. We didn’t know it and it took us another 40mins wait to get the CD. Health screening was not cheap so the service did not match the price. 2. Dr.Karen and her nurses were friendly and professional. The wait was super long despite being 4th in queue. My sis took number at 7AM but finally met doctor at 10AM. It would have been better if an estimated wait time is provided (like how gleneagles does it) so that one can leave the hospital and come back. Sitting in the hospital for 3hrs was not fun. :( 3. It is difficult to understand why one couldn’t register for both health screening and gynaecologist at the same time. The rule is to complete health screening and then take number for doctor visit. The crew should already know that doctor does not come until past 9:30AM and it’s usually a very long wait compared to the health screening. I completed health screening at 9:30AM and when I took the number I became 14th as compared to my sis who’s 4th in the queue. 4. New wing and old wing are quite far apart. There is a lot of walking. It would be nice if there is a travelator. 5. The diagnosis from the health screening physician Dr.Khoo could be improved. I was there for 5 hours (7AM-12AM) despite being the first to arrive to register. So many things could be improved to make it better. The star is for the free wifi.

On 21st i had sudden fever and i was admitted in O&G. My obstetrician (Lovely Dr Karen) n My Paeds (Dr Tan and Dr Ho) suspect infection then i had to delivered my little boy the next day. On 22nd, at gestation of 34week 4days, i've been induce for labour. That morning in the labour room, midwife ika n midwife Teoh, Sister Teh n sister sumetra had been assisted me, patiently n guided me thru out the delivery process, and all felt so fast. Later in the afternoon, the next shift took over that was midwife mayley n midwife masyitah. They also very nice, soft spoken. They transfer me out to ward. In the ward, the nurses all very good, helpfull, soft spoken, thank to this kind of angels that always keep me updated regarding my baby, Ms Izatul, Ms Alia, Ms Guan, Ms Muhaimi, Ms Rati, Kak su, Ms Puteri, Ms Nithiya, Ms Sharmila, Ms Chua, Ms Sara, Ms Ivon, Ms Arina, Ms Mar, Ms Hikmah, Ms Halili, Ms Zamzarina, Ms Malini, ms Tharani, Ms Siva, Ms Rajes, Ms Aishah, Ms Rhupi, n all the serving food staff, n cleaning staff also. I almost remember all the name because of 10days i stayed in the hospital. Also not to forget the very important staff in NICU n nursery that took very good care for my little son shine. Trusted team in NICU n nursery. Ms N.G, Ms Mee yong, Ms Low, Ms Mimi, Ms Quay, Ms Chong, Ms Jennyfer, Ms Syamimi, Ms Luvina, Ms Asfa, Ms Yash, Ms Doris, Ms Jasren. Nothing can described a word of thank u to all of the team. Since i've delivered prem baby, and i never had fully breastfeeding before, my paeds advice me to give ONLY breast milk to my baby. At first, i only get 0.2mls while my paeds said that my baby need 3mls every 3hour feeding. im stress out. But, Allah had send someone to cool me down, n give a little hope. Thank u soooooooooooooo much to Lactation nurse, Ms Uma. shes been very kind. Help me thru my breastfeeding journey. A lot of advice she giving me. Also Sister Teh. From my EBM only 0.2mls, slowly increase to 0.7mls, then 20mls n now after 10days i can get 100mls every 3hour. im very happy. Tq sooooo much all the team. No word can described how much i feel right now. Tq island Hospital.

One of the most important and highly reputed hospital 🏥 in Penang Island and GEORGETOWN area which is situated on the city center connected with so many residential areas and commerical aspects nearby. Coming to the point and highlights of the hospital is 1.Service is Good enough but the waiting time of doctors appointment is to be taken longer and half of the day will be gone each time to Visit this place 2. Such a spacious area of each floor to be separated with clear board signs to be reached easily to the place we have to go 3. The most important and good thing is For the child care they allotted one full floor and set up with the children's playing area on the third floor to avoid the disappointment of waiting a long time to meet the doctor. Mrs. Jayanthi Carens looking for my wife which gives good 😊👍 kind of service on medication with each time clearly explanation of baby growth. 4. Good Lab set-up with little fast service for blood test on time . 5. Cafeterias are available at the ground floor with spacious seatings at the end of the hospital. 6. Car Parkings are available separately for the Out patients on the separate parking 🅿️ building for four floors each time we can get easily to the car park but it's little congested during many cars inside. TNG wallet entry at the entrance and exit ,so better we carry the TNG Card each time whenever you visit the hospital. 7. The biggest let down of this hospital is frustrated waiting time it kills the total day by waiting itself . So better you can go early to avoid long waiting times especially for the kid's doctor. 8. Finally I wished to mention about the location situated of this hospital was fabulous 😍 and beautiful greenish natural surroundings of tree's atmosphere of hilly view. 9.Over-all Good experiences with quite unhappy long waiting time .
