My mom was transferred and admitted to DSH2 in Aug'24 due to blood vessels & arteries blockages and would need to go through bypass surgery. She admitted to DSH2 and was under treatment by Professor Dr Shahrul who is one of the expert in minimally invasive heart & lung surgeon in Msia and has discharged after a week and currently resting & recovering at home. I would like to express my since gratitudes to Prof Dr Shahrul, his assistant Dr Mazuin and all doctors who involved in my mom's surgery and given clear advices and treatment to her. Prof Dr Shahrul explained clearly and managed to answered all my queries in detailed before my mom's go thru her bypass surgery. I felt calmer after listened from him. I would also like to thank all nurses esp nurses in ICU dept, one of them is Ayu. They are gentle, friendly and given attentive care to my mom. Most of the doctors, nurses and staff in DSH2 are good. However, i would like to highlight the long waiting time during my mom's admission and discharged day. On day1, we reached the hospital and completed the registration process around 4:30pm and was told to wait at the premium lounge for the ward to get ready. We waited until almost 8pm to check in to the ward which my mom was very tired and hungry. Similar to the discharged process, we were told that she can get ready to discharge before 12pm. We were told by the ward payment officer that he has informed CS to bring us to the premium lounge and wait for insurance & payment to be finalised. However, we waited until 2pm+ only the CS turned up. The family members starved due to the to wait and managed to have late lunch only after everything was done. Overall, the DSH2 is a good premium hospital. Howevery, the issue of staff & ward shortages and hence long awaiting time need to be addressed asap. Thank you.

I was admitted on October 18th for a bone fracture. Upon my arrival at the Emergency department, a male nurse named Amirul quickly assisted me into the ER and provided immediate care, recognizing the intense pain from my injuries. I received outstanding treatment from Dr. Izzad, Dr. Shamsul, Prof. Dr. Shahrul, and his team, who were all attentive and ensured my well-being. I’m truly impressed with the quality of care at KPJ DSH 2, and it will certainly be my first choice for any future emergencies. A well deserved 5-Star rating. Keep it up DSH 2

I was very satisfied with the treatment for CABG by Prof Shahrul Amri and team. I express my sincere gratitude for the excellent service provided by the doctors and nurses throughout my stay at KPJD2. A small suggestion: Please provide prayer mats in each room for the use of patients and caregivers. From Mazri Bin Zainudin.
