Associate Professor Dr Khoo Saw Sian

Dr. Khoo Saw Sian is a highly qualified orthopaedic surgeon specialising in hand surgery and reconstructive microvascular surgery. She earned her medical degree (MBChB) from the University of Dundee, UK in 2007, demonstrating early overseas training in a high-standards clinical and academic environment. She then advanced her surgical training in Malaysia, securing a Master of Surgery (Orthopaedics) from the University of Malaya in 2016. As an academic Associate Professor in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at the University of Malaya, she is engaged in teaching, research, and hands-on patient care. Her contributions involve not only clinical expertise—treating complex hand, microsurgery and reconstructive cases—but also ongoing research, for example into diagnostic techniques and surgical outcomes in hand and wrist conditions.
