My mother-in-law had back pain. After being examined by an orthopedic doctor at Puri Hospital in Jakarta, the diagnosis was pain from a surgical scar on her thigh, suspected to be impaled. Because my mother-in-law is already elderly, around 90 years old, she was taken to Tung Shin Hospital in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. She was examined by Dr. Chai Kueh Kong (Consultant Orthopedic Surgeon), who previously performed surgery on my mother-in-law's left and right knees (10 years ago). The examination and MRI revealed that the back pain was due to L1 and L3 ligament injuries. Surgery was not necessary, but medication and vitamins were prescribed. Note: I am very satisfied with the doctor and service at Tung Shin Hospital in Kuala Lumpur. The service was fast and professional. The doctor's fees and MRI were not that expensive compared to hospitals in Melaka and Penang. Thank you.
