👎 FIRST AND LAST VISIT TO REGENCY I came to Regency for treatment of GERD with Dr Ong Guan Yeow, a condition I’ve been managing for over 2 years. Previously, I received care at Columbia Asia, where I was given 2 weeks of MC after discharge without question, allowing proper rest and dietary control. At Regency, however, I was only issued 1 day of MC, despite explaining that I work in an industrial area with no access to suitable food — only oily and spicy canteen meals, which aggravate my condition. I even showed the actual photos of the canteen food, yet my request for just a week of MC was rejected without empathy or consideration. I also requested to speak with the doctor again for further explanation, but we waited for over 2-3 hours, and he never came to see us. It was very frustrating and unprofessional, especially when we were just trying to understand the reason behind the decision. If you ask me whether I’ll return — the answer is NO. The lack of consideration for patient needs, subpar service compared to Columbia, and overall disappointing experience were MAJOR LETDOWNS. I remained patient from day one because my main focus was on recovering, especially since this condition keeps recurring. Unfortunately, the hospitality from the nurses was lacking throughout. Communication was poor, and staff were not attentive or compassionate — it felt like patients were just being processed, NOT CARED FOR. Hygiene was also a serious concern. The toilet area smelled strongly of urine even shortly after cleaning. What shocked me most was that nurses DID NOT WEAR GLOVES when drawing blood, checking glucose levels, or even during procedures like scopes — raising serious concerns about infection control and basic medical standards. I truly hope Regency takes these issues seriously and re-evaluates its approach to patient care, hygiene, and overall service quality.
