Professor Dr Lim Shen-Yang is a highly respected Consultant Neurologist at UM Specialist Centre, specialising in Parkinson’s disease and movement disorders. He earned his medical and research degrees from the University of Melbourne, Australia, and is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP), with advanced fellowship training in Melbourne and Toronto. Widely recognised for his expertise, he manages both routine and complex neurological cases, including advanced therapies such as deep brain stimulation. A prolific researcher with over 150 scientific publications, he also serves as Chair of the Asian-Oceanian Section of the International Parkinson & Movement Disorder Society and has been instrumental in developing national treatment guidelines for Parkinson’s in Malaysia.
