Prof. Datuk Dr. Sabarul Afian Mokhtar is a distinguished Senior Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon specializing in Spine Surgery, with a pioneering focus on the ageing spine. He holds a PhD in Spine Surgery from Macquarie University Hospital and has made significant contributions to research on degenerative spinal conditions. Dr. Mokhtar has held numerous leadership roles, including Head of the Department of Orthopaedics and Traumatology at UKM, Past President of the Malaysia Spine Society, and President-Elect of the Malaysian Orthopaedic Association.
