Prof. Dato’ Dr. Mohd Basri B. Mat Nor is a distinguished Professor and Senior Consultant in Anaesthesiology and Intensive Care Medicine, renowned for his pioneering work in critical care in Malaysia. With subspecialty training from Australia and the European Diploma in Intensive Care (EDIC), he has significantly shaped national ICU guidelines and antimicrobial guidelines as a former President of the Malaysian Society of Intensive Care. His prolific research, yielding over 100 impact papers and securing substantial grants, focuses on optimizing critical care nutrition, antibiotic dosing, acute kidney injury, and mechanical ventilation. He is also a dedicated educator, having supervised numerous postgraduate students and authored academic books, recognized as one of IIUM's top researchers.
