Dr Sim Sing Yue is a Consultant Ophthalmologist at Eye Specialist Centre, Kuching. He was previously a Consultant Ophthalmologist at the world-renowned Moorfields Eye Hospital, London, with specialist expertise in medical retina, uveitis, and complex cataract surgery. He trained extensively across all ophthalmic subspecialties at Moorfields Eye Hospital and has been actively involved in cutting-edge clinical trials, real-world studies, and service development in retinal disease. His research interests include age-related macular degeneration, diabetic macular oedema, and novel treatment pathways, with multiple peer-reviewed publications and international presentations in Europe and the US. Dr Sim is committed to teaching and clinical leadership, having served as a cataract surgery supervisor, microsurgical skills course faculty, and OSCE examiner for University College London. He is known for his compassionate, individualised approach to patient care, ensuring management plans are tailored to each patient’s clinical needs and personal circumstances.
