I would like to express our gratitude to both Dr.Tan Chai Keong(Ophthalmologist) and Dr.Cheah May Hong(Anaesthetist) from ISEC in Mid Valley City for their dedication and care for our mom's glaucoma conditions (Patient code MV-215710). We are glad that the operations were successful and both eyes are now in a more stabilised and controlled condition. Again, our thanks to both Drs.Tan and Cheah for their professional and excellent service rendered to our mom.

You’ll never know how valuable something is until you have lost it, or almost lose it. I first had giant retina tear with detachment in 2018 and a year later in 2019, another retina detachment happened to the fellow eye. Dr Ho Whye Onn was recommended to attend to me in the absence of my attending specialist. Dr. Ho Whye Onn’s pleasant bedside manner & assuring approach gave me much confidence to proceed with the procedure without any delay. For a person with white coat syndrome :) this is so important. Throughout the surgery, both Dr Ho & anaesthetist Dr. Cheah May Hong worked together to keep me calm, comfortable & warm as well. Words cannot describe the “safe feeling” of having your doctor reassuring that the surgery was going well and you were doing great. Dr Ho gave me that “safe feeling”. And Dr Cheah held my hand to keep me warm & to give comfort that she was nearby. Both my detached retina were saved in time, thanks to the doctors in ISEC; first episode was by the decisive Dr. Wong Jun Shyan, and the 2nd episode by Dr. Ho Whye Onn ( photo below ) And I only have good words for ISEC for their professionalism & well-organised facility.

In Feb 2021, I had an emergency retinal tear and was referred to Dr. Ho Whye Onn, it was very concerning because I was now seeing dark spot (16%) in my peripheral vision. Upon my request, Dr. Ho scheduled me the next day for surgery, I was very nervous as to what to expect but the clinic staff who performed the pre-op tests reassured me that I am in good hands with Dr. Ho. He is precise in explaining the procedure (Trans-pars plana vitrectomy with sclera buckling) and precautions post-surgery (such as face down posturing) and truthful enough to informed me that chances of my vision being restored would be 80%. The day of my procedure everything went smoothly and I was in and out of operating theatre without discomfort, in about 2hrs. Follow-ups examination were extremely thorough and results are fabulous! My eye fully healed within two months. Dr. Ho had preserved my vision (100%) with his good surgical skills, this is a precious gift that I am grateful for. In Feb 2022, cataract formed on my same eye due to vitrectomy surgery, again I decided to see Dr. Ho for consultations. As I already had fair understanding of the cataract procedure (Phacoemulsification with lens implant), I decided to just do one eye, he is knowledgeable yet be comfortable with my option. Dr. Ho is sincere in explaining the cons and pros of my option, direct manner keeping expectations realistic. Two months post cataract surgery checkup, scan and assessment shown full and successful recovery without any visual distortion. I am extremely lucky to have met Dr. Ho Whye Onn and am eternally thankful to him for saving my vision. Thank you Dr. Cheah, consultant anesthetist, caring and compassionate, put all my fears at ease and helped me overcome my anxiety over the two surgeries. ISEC providing wonderful eye care services and I just wanted to share it with anyone who is searching for a great eye doctor with top notch experience and great staffs.

I would like to say a huge thank you to Dr. RONALD ARUN DAS and Dr. CHEAH MAY HONG (anesthesiologist) for their patience with my mom who doesn't speak English (only Spanish) and they managed to practice her cataract surgery (both eyes) with plenty of confidence. They were caring with her and make sure she understand well all the surgery steps in a easy way, my mom is having well recovering and all the nurses also explain very well how to take care of her eyes. My mom is so grateful to have done her surgery with them and really appreciate all the effort they did to communicate with her specially in the operation room where obviously I was not allow to be with her but she really didn't need me because she was in the best hands. It has been 2 months since my cateract surgery and I still cannot believe that I can see distance super clear, being having my spec power of 1800 and wearing thick glasses since 10 year old , i am now 58 and no longer need glasses, just a mild reading glasses, thats more than okay. A life transforming process that is soooo much better. I am forever grateful to DR Lim Kian Seng for his impeccable surgery skill that only took 2 minutes ( may be 4 at most ) and also thanks to anaesthetist DR Cheah May Hong for her guidance during surgery as i am hearing impaired. ISEC is so well managed, perfect operation process flow and every staff knows their work diligently. Never been to a hospital that is so well organised as ISEC. Thank you so much.
