UM Specialist Centre (UMSC)

UM Specialist Centre (UMSC) is a private hospital in Lembah Pantai, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, that has been in operation since 1998. Initially established as an initiative by the University of Malaya and its Faculty of Medicine to counter the migration of medical experts from the public to the private sector, UMSC functions as the private arm of the public University of Malaya Medical Centre (UMMC). It is recognized as Malaysia's premier quaternary hospital, providing a high level of specialized medical care. The centre is home to over 270 specialists, many of whom are professor doctors with sub-specialties, and it serves as a referral center for other tertiary hospitals, handling complex medical and surgical cases. Situated adjacent to UMMC and the Faculty of Medicine, UMSC is part of an integrated regional healthcare hub that emphasizes care, research, and education.
