9Dec25 - it's my second day here after experiencing intense almost crippling pain that would not go away (turned out to be due to a big gallbladder stone). So far, the nurses, attendants, staff and doctors have all treated me well and with care. Am thankful for the nurses who have been taking care of me. My attending surgeon Dr Salleh made sure to explain the situation and procedure clearly to me. My next day surgery was shifted from 10am to 8.30am as there are 6 surgeries to be done, and mine would be the first one. This hospital is also rather new and nice. Just that quite often from my ward bed I can hear boisterous casual talking by staff outside (even when I was in A&E the day before). This is rather unusual as I'm used to hospitals maintaining a quieter and peaceful atmosphere for patients to rest. The soundproofing also isn't so good - whatever the patient in the same ward as me does seem to be amplified in noise, I can hear clearly whatever happens in the bathroom / toilet though my bed is further away, the ward and toilet doors all open and close very loudly. Perhaps the hospital can look into these as they detract from the care, comfort and rest provided by Columbia Asia Hospital.

FNB NURINA. Food service is good. Cafeteria food is also well priced and tasty with nice portions. This review is for the hospitals FnB service. But I also want to include the quality of care and doctor's consultation service is very personable and we're professional. My wife was admitted for appendicitis and also ended up with a fibroid and ovarian cyst removal. All went without a hitch. Doctors were Dr Salehudin (general surgery), Dr Chong (Gynae) and Dr Mohd (Anaesthesiology). Special mention to Dr Chris in Emergency for performing a venipuncture on my wife arms which wasn't easy. (Gleneagles JB, your nurses failed badly here.) A big thank you to all the Doctors and nurses for taking my wife well during her on-going stay. However, my wife felt the nurses in the 2nd flr ICU wing could have been more thoughtful and show more initiative. When my wife was vomiting into the bag, the nurse just watched and walked off without offering any assistance. Not even getting more wipes or tissues as my wife was also struggling with headaches and nausea and pain in the abdomen. Nurses need to be show more empathy and care.

Special thanks to Dr.Woon,Dr Saleh, Dr Faizal and all the staff at Columbia, especially nurse staff in MD8, I would like to express my sincere gratitude for the excellent care and kindness given to me during my stay for my appendix surgery. Thank you for your professionalism, patience, and dedication in making me feel safe and comfortable throughout the treatment and recovery process. I truly appreciate everything you have done. I had my appendix surgery at Columbia Asia Hospital and overall, my experience was very positive. Dr Saleh was professional, calm, and clear in explaining the procedure, which really helped ease my anxiety. The nursing team Nadia, Safrida, Fatin, and Fisha were incredibly kind, attentive, and patient throughout my stay. They consistently checked in on me and made sure I was comfortable and well cared for. Their warmth and professionalism truly made a stressful situation much easier to go through. I’m grateful for the excellent care provided by the entire team.
