Professor Dr. Saw Aik is a pioneering Orthopaedic Surgeon in Malaysia, renowned for his expertise in Paediatric Orthopaedic Surgery and Limb Lengthening and Reconstruction Surgery. He is celebrated for introducing and popularizing Ilizarov surgery in Malaysia, establishing it as a discipline and leading numerous training courses. His extensive experience also covers clinical and biomechanical studies on external fixation, musculoskeletal tumors, and paediatric trauma. Dr. Saw Aik has held significant leadership roles, including Past President of the Malaysian Orthopaedic Association and Head of the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at the Faculty of Medicine, University Malaya.
