I would like to express my sincere gratitude to Dr. Soon Kong Choon, Hepatobiliary Surgeon at Sunway Medical Centre Penang, for successfully operating on my 76-year-old father, who was diagnosed with a large liver tumour. At his age, being told he had a big liver cancer felt almost like being asked to accept fate. It was an extremely difficult time for our family. I came to know Dr. Soon as I am also a specialist and had previously worked in the same hospital as him. He was strongly recommended by my surgeon colleagues, and based on their confidence in his expertise, I made the decision to have my father travel from Penang Island to Sunway for surgery. One year later, I am truly grateful to see my father recovering well, without complications, and able to live his life as usual. Dr. Soon’s surgical skill, clinical judgment, and professionalism gave my father a second chance at quality life. As a fellow doctor, I understand the dedication and responsibility that come with this profession. A good surgeon deserves sincere recognition, and this is the most rewarding part of being in medicine — witnessing the positive impact on patients and their families. I was admitted to Sunway Medical Centre Seberang Jaya, Pulau Pinang, and overall I am very satisfied with the service provided. I would like to express my sincere appreciation to my doctors, Dr. Soon King Choon and Dr. Kevin Voon, for their professionalism, clear explanations, and attentive care throughout my treatment. They took the time to listen, explained my condition patiently, and ensured I was comfortable and well informed. Special thanks to the physiotherapy team, especially Cik Bella , for their encouragement, gentle guidance, and dedication during my recovery sessions. Their positive attitude really helped boost my confidence and healing process. I would also like to thank Cik Hanun and cik Sofia from the Food & Beverage team for her kindness and helpful service. The meals were well managed, and staff were always polite and responsive to requests. Additionally, all the nurses , security, cleaning staff were consistently polite, respectful, and helpful. They created a safe, calm, and supportive environment during my stay. Overall, the service, cleanliness, teamwork, and patient care at Sunway Medical Centre Seberang Jaya are excellent. I truly appreciate the care and compassion shown by everyone. Highly recommended.
