This is my 4th admission to Oriental. All the staff nurses were very good (Ward 5B). The best staff nurse was Athirah, and I also can't forget the Chinese staff nurse (forgot her name) hahaha, she was very kind 🫶🏾🫶🏾. Dr. Ng Lim Chui (Steve) was also very good, explaining my eczema condition. Dr. Syed Zaifullah (ENT) in Ward 3B was excellent for my sinus issues, providing clear explanations. Dr. Syed was the one who suggested I see Dr. Steve. And I also can't forget Dr. Hanizam in Ward 6B who treated my gastric pain 🫶🏾🫶🏾. THANK YOU TO ALL THE DOCTORS AND STAFF NURSES. THE PRACTICAL STUDENTS WERE ALSO VERY GOOD AND FRIENDLY. May Allah reward your services 🫶🏾🫶🏾.

The best service... Fast.. I came in because I had diarrhea and vomiting for 4 days and I was fine... It happened that the specialist was there.. Dr. Hanizam... he kept asking me to take a blood sample to check... There is a bacterial infection... It's not enough.. for people who can't stand air conditioning, wear thick clothes.. it's cold at night with air conditioning... it's good

Service at Oriental Hospital Melaka was truly superb. I was treated by Datuk Dr Gopinath and Dr Mohd Hanizam during my recent visit, and I’m very satisfied with the care I received. Both doctors treated me with great professionalism and kindness, and they took the time to explain every detail clearly, which really gave me peace of mind. My surgery and post-surgery recovery went smoothly. The physiotherapists and nurses in the ward were also very friendly, attentive, and supportive throughout my stay. Overall, a very positive experience. Highly recommended.

I would like to thank Dr. Hartini and Dr. Hanizam for the excellent care and treatment I received. I was first treated by Dr. Hartini and later referred to Dr. Hanizam. Both doctors were professional, caring, and took the time to explain my condition clearly. Overall, I had a good experience with the hospital. However, I would like to suggest two areas for improvement. 1. Refund process During my second admission, my previous deposit was reused because the refund had not been processed yet. However, I was not informed that I needed to sign a new refund authorization form. Although I later received a message saying the refund had been processed, I never received it. I had to follow up with the hospital, and only then was I asked to sign another form so the refund could be manually credited back to my credit card. I hope the staff can explain this process more clearly to avoid confusion. 2. Medication not covered by insurance when I was discharged, I was given my medications but was not informed that some of them were not covered by my insurance. I only found out after the insurance claim was submitted. It would be helpful if patients were informed in advance so they can decide whether they would like to proceed with those medications. I hope the hospital can improve these processes to provide an even better patient experience.

The interesting thing is free parking and there are some good doctors like Dr Gopy, Dr Ahmad Maujad, Dr Hanizam, Dr Rashidah and others. The most noticeable improvement is the inward food service. A lot has changed from before. Before the food was not tasty and not very palatable, now it has changed a lot and is good. One compliment is given. There are only a few issues that Oriental needs to focus on because I used to go there and send my insurance clients there. 1. The public canteen is hidden in the back and many shops are closed and the food does not taste satisfactory and interesting. 2. Slow to deposit refunds even though the insurance app has a final approved bill. 3. The wing ward is not fully opened causing beds to sometimes be full and clients get rooms that do not match their qualifications. For example, a client who qualifies for a single room was placed in a 6-bedded room which is narrow and does not have TV facilities. Others such as the ICU ward, other facilities, single rooms, double rooms are satisfactory. Nurse service is also good. Service at the counter, emergency, cleanliness and others are also the best.
