During my admission to Columbia Hospital for severe arm and shoulder pain caused by a nerve problem, I received excellent care from Dr. Yee, who was both knowledgeable and efficient. He carefully addressed every symptom, provided clear explanations about my treatments, and ensured I understood my condition, which was a result of a fall in a mall. The nurses and staff were generally attentive and helpful, though there was one coughing staff member who lacked of patience. The hospital's food was superb, with great presentation and a variety of choices. Nurayu is a pleasant lady with her punctual time of sending food daily. The two-bedroom accommodation was comfortable, making my stay more pleasant. I want to extend my heartfelt gratitude to Mama Pat, Suria, and Nitria from the operation room during my Cervical ESI injection, a minor surgery requiring sedation. I was filled with anxiety, fearing the possibility of paralysis, but Mama Pat was a godsend. She offered immense encouragement and love, treating me with kindness despite being a stranger. The hospital truly needs more staff like her. Suria and Nitria were also exceptionally patient and helpful, making the experience much more comforting. For our physio department,I was patiently attended by Miss Janamu ,she helped me to access my symptoms and taught me whatever necessary exercises to strengthening and stretching my arm. Overall, despite a minor setback with one staff member, my experience at Columbia Hospital was positive, thanks to the dedicated medical team and support staffs. The end of reviews.

Special mention to Dr Yee, Dr Vijayan, the physio ward nurses and Dr Zul. Was admitted three times under Dr Vijayan for lung infection, twice and still doing follow ups with Dr Yee for my slip disc. These three doctors not only are good at what they do, but they truly care. Dr Yee is a very soft spoken and caring neurosurgeon, very meticulous with his treatment, made me feel safe despite having a severe slip disc and walked me through every option and the procedure of the surgery, very patient with my questions. Dr Vijayan and Dr Zul ever so friendly and always provide the best care. Physio ward nurses are friendly. The only improvement if I may suggest, some of the nurses at the clinic section (for follow ups) need to improve their communication skills. Made a simple inquiry on the date of a follow up appt with the dr, and the nurse couldn’t understand the question, this happened three times with different nurses. Other than that, I’m a happy camper

Visited this hospital with my dad to see Dr Yee Sze-Voon (Neurosurgeon) and we were impressed with our experience. The hospital staffs were very friendly and helpful in guiding my dad what to do and where to go. But the standout feature of our visit was the outstanding care my dad received from Dr Yee. He was extremely meticulous in his approach, taking the time to fully understand my dad’s needs and concerns before coming up with a treatment plan. My dad had seen another neurosurgeon prior to this and it was nothing like Dr Yee's consultation. After our first visit, my dad had the need to return to do a CT scan due to a medical condition, despite not being at the hospital, Dr Yee took the extra mile to help him make all the necessary arrangements for the scan and reverted to us immediately after the report was out. We’re truly impressed by his professionalism and commitment to ensure the best possible outcome for his patients. It’s so important to find a doctor who can give you peace in mind knowing that you’re in good hands, we’re extremely glad to have found Dr Yee.
