I’m very grateful to have Dr Paul Chew as my orthopaedic doctor. He is very caring with a conservative approach and takes the time to carefully review all my X-ray and MRI in detail. What I appreciate most is how thorough he is in his explanations — he ensures that I fully understand my condition, the cause of my pain, and the treatment options available. Highly recommended for anyone looking for an orthopaedic specialist who is patient, ethical, and truly caring

Cons: If compared to pantai hospital or gleneagles KL, the moment I’m admitted they put me on wheel chair and wheeled me to my room even though I’m capable to walk. At BMC there wasn’t such treatment and I have to walk to my room on my own lead by the nurse. I’m ok with that just comparing the level of service to customer by different hospitals. I did Achilles tendon operation by Dr. Paul Chew in 2022. After coming out from the surgical hall and wheeled back to my room I felt like urinating but urine did not come out as I was on partial anaesthetic waist down was numbed. My bladder pressure built up and I was really uncomfortable and I pressed the buzzer but nobody came. I began to shout out hoping someone could hear me while in pain by the pressure in my bladder. I kept pressing the buzzer but no one would ever come. Finally the patient next to my bed went to the counter to get the nurse to help. I male nurse came and checked and asked me to pee on the pampers but I couldn’t then he disappeared. Finally 2 lady nurse came(that was 30mins after my first press of the buzzer) and inserted a tube into my penis and immediate urine came out and they collected about 600ml of urine if I recall correctly. The pressure subsided and the pain gone. These were the only bad experience I had so far in this BMC hospital. Pros: The health screening staffs are steady, cool and professional. They are very well trained I suppose in taking blood samples as everything I went for blood test I did not feel the pain from the needle.
