I came to see Dr. Philip Poi — very professional, and most importantly, the service was excellent. Uvaneswary was also very friendly, and I would like to thank her for all her assistance.

I found Dr Philip Poi to be a very patient, caring, and considerate doctor. We first had an online consultation- though booking it was rather frustrating, taking nearly two weeks to confirm a time and date. (This delay was due to the hospital’s booking system, not Dr Philip himself.) For in-person appointments, it’s best to arrange bookings via phone or email, as booking through reception can also be slow. Be prepared for longer waits, as each consultation is given ample time. If you’re waiting, the building lobby has a Starbucks and a few shops if you’d like a coffee or snack, and there are also water dispensers around the clinic waiting area and a complimentary Starbucks newspaper and wifi. Although it would be nice to offer other reading material. The clinic itself feels very new- spacious, quiet, modern, and clean, with inviting furnishings, bright interiors, and impressive views. I was particularly struck by the display window of medications managed by a robotic arm- the rows of medicine boxes arranged almost like a Damien Hirst exhibit. However, the toilets would benefit from more frequent and thorough cleaning. My father’s treatment with Dr Philip was very thorough. He carried out a series of written and conversational assessments, followed by detailed discussions about communication and medication. His advice and explanations were clear, insightful, and helped our family gain a much better understanding of dementia—supporting not only my father but all of us as caregivers.
