The Robotic Surgery was very successful. With minimal scarring, little pain, I was able to walk as usual by the second day. Essentially, the recovery was much faster compared to a C-section. Patient with an endometriosis nodule near the skin tissue. Initially presented to Dr. Thanges with concerns due to CT scan results from Indonesia indicating a malignant tumor. During the first in-person consultation, Dr. Thanges was very calming and reassuring, stating that he could help me. Action was taken very quickly; I had an MRI that same evening, and surgery was scheduled for the next day. Pathology results were expected in 1 week, but surprisingly came back in 3 days, indicating no malignancy. Dr. Thanges is a very experienced, ethical, compassionate, and patient gynecologist. I was experiencing worsening lower back pain, and during a physical examination, my CA125 and CA19.9 levels were found to be elevated, raising suspicion of endometriomas in both ovaries. My first doctor recommended a total hysterectomy and oophorectomy to resolve the issue and eliminate concerns about malignancy. Oh my goodness! A friend introduced me to Dr. Thanges. He suggested reviewing the MRI scan before making a decision. After reviewing the report, he was very confident that he could safely remove the 4cm ovarian tumors from each ovary, preserving my ovaries and uterus. I had my robotic surgery done by Dr Thanges. Having had 3 surgery's in the past and going thru a very painful process and longer recovering period via the traditional surgery, I was very afraid and anxious when I was told I need a major surgery. I needed to remove my uterus, cervix, ovaries and fallopian tubes ( Hysterectomy). I was not willing to go thru pain and the complications that comes with the traditional surgery, and that's when Dr Thanges suggested the robotic surgery. Dr Thanges and Robotic surgery was a god send answer to my worries .The robotic surgery have fast recovery period for the external wounds ,by the 3rd day I was already walking .
