Recently, due to several years of intestinal issues, I visited the Amitabha Buddhist Hospice for the first time for a consultation. I was very fortunate to meet Dr. Loi, a surgeon here, who is a professional, competent, patient, and meticulous doctor. He explained my condition very clearly, ensuring I understood, and patiently answered all my questions. Additionally, I consulted with Dr. Neoh, an internal medicine physician, regarding some other health concerns. Dr. Neoh generously provided professional answers. The medical staff here are all very kind and friendly, and the service is excellent. Although the hospital is currently small in scale, this level of medical service allows patients to entrust themselves to the doctors with peace of mind, which is commendable. Thank you to Dr. Loi, Dr. Neoh, and the medical staff. I hope the standard will remain the same or improve in the future.

They accepted me as who I am, providing a space for my physical and mental recovery, thanks to the selfless, very prompt acting and medically very skillful Mr Loi (Consultant General Surgeon), Dr Quah (Anaesthelogist), the nurse team, the hospital and the Yayasan. 48 hours prior to see Mr Loi, I was rushing all around penang to look for a affordable and mentally comfortable space (so as not to trigger potential further anxiety) ! Though I am a marginalised yet systemically persecuted gender minority, they help without hestitate! I need not explain a lot of my situation as Mr Loi is an very experience surgeon! Just before anaehesia, two very high EQ team of Dr Quah (Anaethesialogist) make me completely release my long accumulated tense in past 48 hours..and make me able to laugh and to continue with the surgical procedure! When i look at the detail billing two days after discharge, I cried again when drafting this! never expecting such a deep discount given by Mr Loi (despite more complex adhession nature of the retrocecal appendicitis) which require a lot more steps!, deep discount by Dr Quah for anaethesia and deep discount by hospital for a seperate space to better support my recovery! Your help enable me to pass thtough the my strain financial position! I also remember well a nurse (Ms Juvita) who has been with the hospital since second year of opening. She told me some of them are there since opening, and helped pre opening cleaning!, perhaps, nurse team, its your commitment and your hearts towards those needed in society that makes you a excellance team today! The nurse team particially those a ward 3A, enable me to be aways the stress for physical recovery! The hospital's excellancy, perhaps is also due to the role model by their management. I was there for endoscopy , one of the most efficient hospitals , honestly the staff were very helpful and friendly , Dr loi chung was really really kind , he's at the right place and he's so attentive, he makes patients feel comfortable and calm , god bless you Dr loi
