Dr Chan Jan Bond came highly recommended by my friend in the field for my partner's complex cataract case. We had a thorough consultation with him regarding his condition and he took great care to explain each detail patiently. He also allowed us space to ask as many questions as we wanted, which puts us at ease. He didn't shy away from questions -- in fact, he welcomes it! He also took multiple scans to assess my partner's current condition to get a clear idea of what treatment can be done. We were initially worried about the surgery, seeing as my partner has a unique set of eyes that would make the surgery more challenging, but Dr Chan put us to ease immediately with his extensive knowledge and excellent bedside manners. We scheduled the surgery right after the consultation and were very thrilled with the results. The surgery itself took between 40-60 minutes per eye as it was more complex (plus an additional procedure per eye during the surgery). We felt that Dr Chan cares about his patient's wellbeing and wants what is best for them -- we are lucky to have him as our surgeon! A special mention goes to his nurse Siti who was very professional, kind and friendly. She made sure everything ran smoothly and constantly kept us in the loop throughout our appointments.

I just had my cataract surgery done in April 2026 by Dr. Chan Jan Bong at ISEC, and I’m very grateful for the excellent experience. Dr. Chan is extremely patient and took the time to answer all my questions thoroughly. I really appreciated his honest and down-to-earth approach—he doesn’t overpromise, which gave me a lot of confidence and trust. On top of that, he’s genuinely pleasant and even fun to interact with, which made the whole process much more comfortable. The overall service at ISEC was superb. From lab, clinic test waiting time to the eye-operation flow, everything was systematically smooth, efficient, and well-organized. If I am to describe with 1 word = Experienced. TQ Dr. Chan, TQ Jane and all the nurses at 7, 8th Floor whom I didn't catch the names, as my eyes were blurry at that time haha. Highly recommended for anyone considering cataract surgery!
