This is my first visit to SMCD, inspired by a friend’s recommendation. As a patient at Serdang Hospital, she overcame numerous health challenges, particularly regarding her heart. Hearing all the uplifting stories about the doctor was truly remarkable. A month later, I found myself on a journey to prioritize my health. Below are my observations. It is remarkably true: the services provided inspire confidence. Regardless of their level or role, every individual exemplifies courtesy, helpfulness, professionalism, care, accommodation, and expertise in their field. ________________________________________________ Dr K Bala (the consultant cardiologist) I sincerely hope that individuals maintain good health and do not require medical consultations; however, such circumstances are often unavoidable in life. In the event of cardiac concerns, I highly recommend consulting Dr. Bala. I frequently relied on online resources for information, which resulted in increased anxiety and confusion as the symptoms described corresponded closely with my own experiences. However, within three minutes of the meeting, Dr. Bala promptly addressed my issues and alleviated my apprehensions, replacing fear with understanding. Rather than recommending unnecessary tests, he advised me to pursue specific examinations to dispel my self-diagnosed concerns. I was particularly impressed by his integrity and professionalism in not prescribing superfluous tests, instead suggesting that I enroll in the Health Screening Wellness Program, which was offered at a discounted rate. My previous experiences with other healthcare providers often involved recommendations for excessive testing that resulted in significant financial burdens. In contrast, during our consultation, Dr. Bala exemplified a professional, caring, and considerate approach. I am deeply grateful for his expertise and sincerity.
