Alhamdulillah, delivery was made easy with Dr. Mastura at KPJ SPECIALIST SELANGOR. So far, all services from the nurses in Ward 2B have been excellent. Thank you! This is my second time delivering my baby here.

Alhamdulillah, safely delivered my second baby at KPJ Selangor last week. Was attended by the amazing Dr. Mastura, my gynaecologist. Also supportive nurses from the Labour Room - SN Azila, SN Fajrin, P. Subha. Was warded in ward 2B, me and my baby were attended by lovely nurses SN Najwa, SN Rabiyatul, SN Khairunissa, CA Liza and CA Hazimah. Thank you so much and may Allah bless us all🫶🏻

Alhamdulillah, thank you Dr. Mastura Mokhtar, O&G specialist from KPJ Selangor, Shah Alam. We feel it's not too late to express our appreciation to her for helping deliver our second child last year. We were worried it would be like our first child, but alhamdulillah, it was a normal delivery without any incidents. Unlike the delivery of our first child (at another private hospital with a different specialist), Dr. Mastura personally conducted the delivery from the beginning this time. At the hospital for our first child, a senior midwife wanted to conduct the delivery too early without the presence of a specialist. As a result, my wife became overly exhausted (almost an hour and a half after she was told to push, until the specialist arrived 40 minutes later and took over) + the baby needed vacuum extraction + my wife had postpartum hemorrhage and almost fainted + required a red blood cell transfusion. We vowed never to go back to that hospital and would never recommend it to anyone. We were swayed by other people's social media reviews, and the bill was much more expensive than KPJ, but KPJ's service was more satisfactory in my opinion. Private hospital SOPs should not allow midwives to act independently without the presence of a specialist, especially when patients are paying for specialist services. Dr. Mastura is indeed a very experienced senior O&G specialist. We could see this when she understood our first child's case during the first consultation session. Her reaction and response were very reassuring/comforting compared to other hospitals (we had actually surveyed several private hospitals). This made us confident and we immediately booked an appointment to deliver at KPJ. Thank you, Dr. Mastura, for helping us and fulfilling our last-minute epidural request. We apologize for not being able to attend the postpartum appointment as it was difficult to request leave from work. Our child and wife are alhamdulillah healthy to this day. What we appreciated was that she was not rushed; she was calm and relaxed, perhaps due to her extensive experience. She was still able to accept the epidural request, even though I know she was concerned we might feel it wasn't financially worthwhile given how last-minute the request was. For those who are currently looking for a female O&G specialist, we highly recommend Dr. Mastura. Especially if you have had an unpleasant experience from a previous delivery, you can consult her first and decide afterward, just like we did.
