My daughter was referred to ISEC on a Friday for a suspected detached retina. Naturally, we were extremely worried and scared about what this could mean for her vision. She was first attended to by Dr. Ho and then referred to Dr. Barkeh Hanim Jumaat, whom we met the following Saturday morning. From the moment we met Dr. Barkeh, we felt we were in very good hands. Despite having many patients waiting, she took her time to perform a very thorough examination and patiently explained everything to us. What meant the most was how gentle, kind, and reassuring she was with my daughter, who was very emotional and frightened at the thought of possibly losing her vision. Dr. Barkeh spoke to her with so much compassion and calm that it truly helped ease her fears. Because of the seriousness of the condition, Dr. Barkeh scheduled surgery two weeks after our first appointment. She performed the operation with great skill, and we are so grateful to say that my daughter is recovering well. We will always be thankful to Dr. Barkeh not only for her expertise, but also for the genuine care and kindness she showed during such a difficult time for our family.
