Professor Dr. Sivakumar Krishnasamy is a distinguished Senior Consultant Cardiothoracic Surgeon at UMSC, renowned for pioneering adult cardiac surgery, complex aortic procedures, and advanced Uniportal VATS techniques. He is globally recognized as the first Asian to win the European Board of Cardiothoracic Surgery Gold Medal (2016) and the first worldwide recipient of the Francis Fontan Uniportal VATS Fellowship (2019). His dedication to surgical education is highlighted by his historic achievement as the first Malaysian awarded the Fellowship in the Faculty of Surgical Trainers (FFST Edin) by the Royal College of Surgeons Edinburgh (2025).
