Note : This is gonna be a very LONG & DETAIL Review I'm a patient from Medan, Indonesia. I'm VERY VERY GRATEFUL towards DR. (MR.) TANG CHEE CHUAN. I really cannot describe with words how much I feel very thankful and grateful towards Dr.Tang. You can feel he is genuinely caring towards his patients. He is so Fast Response, Detail, Care, Nice, and Humorous. Back Story : 19 June 2026 around 5pm I had a very painful stomachache for more than an hour, and admitted to one of big hospital in Medan. 21 Jun did CT scan, 22 Jun report said found an inflammation on my Descending Colon around 22cm long. 23 Jun did Colonoscopy, but since it's still swollen, the camera can't go through, so they just took 3 samples for biopsy. And the Colonoscopy result is "Colitis" 24 Jun, I got discharged. 29 Jun biopsy result came out, and I was diagnosed with "High Grade Dysplasia" which is a Precancerous Cells. I was suggested to do Colon Surgery. Of course I need second opinion, so I contacted my insurance agent, they suggest to me Pantai Hospital Penang and made appointment for 1st Aug at 9.30 AM with Dr. Tang (General Surgeon) straight away. 1 month later (1st Aug 2026) which is Saturday, Me and my Mom took 5AM flight to Penang, 8.30AM pick up by Pantai Hospital Shuttle Driver (Pak Anuwal, so friendly) we head to hospital straight away, 9.45AM met Dr. Tang. At first, I planned only to consult with Dr. Tang, then maybe start hospitalized from Monday. Coz i know it's Saturday (operational hour 8am-1pm), weekend, and doctor also human, they need rest. But when Dr. Tang heard my condition, read the report, and did some check up on my stomach (which he knows there is something wrong), he said i need to get admitted, if possible today. So Dr.Tang's Clinic Nurse help me to do my insurance paper work straight away, 10.30AM did CT Scan, 11.45 AM drew blood and urine sample, then i got admitted straight away on Saturday. I got into ward around 5 PM, around over 6 PM Dr.Tang came to my ward. Which I'm so surprised (more like shocked) coz I didn't expect Dr.Tang would comeback around that time, I expect the procedure will start from Monday. But no, Dr.Tang explained to me, CT Scan result out, from CT my colon seems normal, so we need to do Colonoscopy, Dr. Tang told the Nurse that I need to do Colonoscopy the Next Morning (Sunday) 9.30AM. 2nd Aug During Colonoscopy, Dr.Tang took samples from EVERY CORNER of my colon (6 samples) from CAECUM, TRANSVERSE, DESCENDING, SIGMOID, RECTUM, & ANAL RECTAL for biopsy to make sure if I do carry any cancerous cells or not. 2nd Aug Evening, during his ward visit, he explained to me, from Colonoscopy result it doesn't looks like Cancer, but we still need to wait for biopsy result (which normally took 3-5 days) 5th Aug i got discharged, but since my mom still hospitalized, and coincidentally Dr.Tang also one of the doctors who handle my mom (this gonna be another review in the future) whenever he sees me, he always mention about my biopsy result (which hasn't come out yet). On 6th Aug during his visit, he told me, Biopsy result hasn't out yet, but i just check with them it's confirmed NOT CANCER (imagine how relieved i was that time) On 7th Aug during his morning visit, he said, I just check with them, your Biopsy result will be done by this evening, but I told them to double check again before make the report. On 8th Aug, Biopsy Result out, and THANK GOD it is just an Infection which can cure by medication, no need any Surgery. In Medan, it took me 4 Days to get Colonoscopy. In Pantai Hospital Penang, only 1 Night. That's just how Fast Response they are.

My two doctors were very communicative. Their explanations and patience in treating patients were extraordinary, in my opinion. Oh, and of course, the nurses, Nurse Sara and Nurse Sofi. Imagine, I even memorized their names, because they were so helpful in everything. Even mentally after undergoing surgery and chemotherapy, they were willing to help and provide support. To the nurses who cared for me during chemo, Nurse Yo, Nurse There, and so many more, thank you for accompanying me on my ongoing chemo journey. Thank you for your support. We are very thankful to Dr. Tang Chee Chuan for taking such great care of my father during his hernia surgery at Pantai Hospital Penang. He is very jovial, kind, and genuinely caring towards his patients, which really helped ease our worries. Dr. Tang explained everything clearly and patiently, and his excellent knowledge and professionalism gave us a lot of confidence throughout the process.
