A world class surgeon who saved my life. I have the option of treatment in the UK and Hong Kong and yet choose to pay and fly to Malaysia to be treated by this world class Dr. I have had 1 life saving cancer operation on my stomach and esophagus and another to fix a hernia in the same area following a gym injury. I fly in to Malaysia to have 6 monthly follow up appointments that include endoscopy and PET scans. In each and every case Dr Pok is kind, compassionate, diligent and thoughtful in his approach. 3 years post cancer I comfortably run marathons and mountain trails. My miraculous recovery has been solely down to Dr Pok and his talent, not mention his world class skill and access to the latest equipment. Other surgeons have passed comment on how neat my surgery scars are with 1 Hong Kong surgeon unable to find my keyholes scars at all. I will be relocating back to Malaysia this summer (2021) and a key factor in this decision was gaining access to Dr Pok following the locking of borders as a result of the global pandemic.

Dr Pok was so insightful. Under his care, my life have changed towards the better! I have managed to reach my weight goal within the first year of my surgery and most importantly my diabetes type 2 has reversed.

Dr Pok is very caring and provides clear and unambiguous advice on the cause of the acute pancreatitis that I was suffering and what to expect from follow-up treatment to drain out fluid from pseudocyst as well as risk involved. He further advised on the need to remove the gall bladder at a later stage to avoid recurrence of acute pancreatitis due gall bladder stone. Despite my depressed outburst in CCU, Dr Pok is calm, patient and dedicated in caring for me; helped saved my life. Always grateful and thankful for such life-saving dedication.

Dr Pok has done a remarkable job on my operation. Right from the start he provided clear explanation along with videos on how the operation procedure will take place being my first time experiencing laparoscopic surgery.
