Prof. Dr. Norfilza Mohd Mokhtar is a distinguished Professor of Genome Medicine and Head of the GUT Research Group at Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia. Her expertise lies in omics technology for gastrointestinal diseases and environmental impacts on gut health, driving translational research and industry collaborations. A leader in health and advanced medicine clusters, she is dedicated to high-quality, personalized patient care and empowering individuals towards optimal health. Her extensive academic roles also include adjunct and visiting professorships, and she serves as Assistant Chair for the Malaysian Microplastics & Health Consortium.
