I was admitted here for a week due to back and leg pain under the care of Dr. Raymond. I was then referred to Dr. Andrea and Dr. Deepak for further testing and evaluation. It was determined that the best solution was to undergo TLIF with six screws in my spine. The surgery was successfully performed by Dr. Deepak and Dr. Carolyn, and I was hospitalized for another week afterward. The equipment, machines, and facilities are all top-notch. The nurses were very professional and always ready to help with open arms. I can't thank them enough for their care and support. I would definitely recommend this hospital.

The reason I chose this hospital is because it is closest to my home. I vistied Dr Teh Yeon Chiat, Skin Specialist. Prior to seeing her, I had a doctor who misdiagnosed, and another doctor who underdiagnosed. Both causing me to feel more anxious about my condition already. Dr Teh explained my condition in detail, answered all the questions I had, and reassured me that she will be with me in this so I don't have to worry. I started taking her medication and followed the instructions given, a week later, my condition had improved significantly. I also know she listens attentively because I had concerns about going back to work with my condition, and she remembered, and asked if I wanted her to setup the appointment with another doctor immediately. I managed to get all my issues sorted out in that visit. Thanks to her expertise, care, attentiveness, and her cheerful attitude! The other doctor I saw was Dr Andrea Lau Yue Hui, a Neurologist. She was attentive and understood my concerns very well; she was also very thorough in her questions to me to understand my condition. She listened patiently and explored alternative treatments due to my sensitivity to a particular drug. I also left her clinic feeling much more positive about my recovery.

For 15-18 years, I endured severe headaches, with countless doctors only offering painkillers that provided no lasting relief. My work often came to a halt, forcing me to wait for the pain to subside. Then I found Dr. Andrea, who accurately diagnosed the root cause after a scan. Since starting her prescribed medication, I've experienced a remarkable difference. I can now actively participate in conversations, feel present in the moment, and my mind is much more focused. My hubby was admitted to SMCD several times for past 3 months and the main physicians treating him are Dr Yong Mei Chin & Dr Andrea Lau , both are very professional, knowledgeable & caring. Their approach is patient centric and treat us like a family member & not just a patient. In fact few are consultants are involved in his complicated case and they are patiently explaining details to us and understanding the procedures & treatments recommended. Definitely not pushy at all. However, the administration & operational aspects have some room for improvements. Overall, highly recommended hospital & doctors are impressive, thank you to all the doctors, nurses & staff at SMCD 👏
