Admitted for persistent back pain under the care of Dr Shaharuddin.
Stayed at The Suites (Ward 5), Room 519; the newly refurbished premier ward at KPJ Selangor Specialist Hospital. The room was spacious and well-appointed, featuring a TV, armchair with stool, and a long chaise lounge that was comfortable enough for an accompanying guardian. Storage space was also more than sufficient.
Meal options were varied and plentiful, although there is room for improvement with more Western or non-rice alternatives for patients with different dietary preferences.
Room service is available, but orders are placed manually at the Nurses’ Station, with payments currently limited to cash only. Introducing a QR-based system for ordering, tracking, and payment would greatly improve convenience, especially for patients without a caregiver present or easy access to cash.
The nursing staff were consistently kind, attentive, and patient, responding promptly to every call and query with warmth and professionalism.
