Hi, I'm Jeanny one of Dr Michael Wong Pak Kai patient. I'm here due to problem of diarrhea for 8 - 12 times a day for 1.5 year. I also malnutrition since my intestine can't absorb due to previous bypass surgery. I'm so thankful to God and the Singapore doctor (dr. chock) who recomened me to do surgery here. This is my first time going to SMC and i think this hospital is crazy for making this comfy of place and international patient freindly. They have International Patient Center / IPC which help me and other foreign patient who came to this hospital. The day I came to KL, I ask for pick me up at airport and they have this kind of facility for pick up & drop off. If you are hospitalized, you can use pick up and drop off facility but if you came for only consult, you can choose to pick up / drop off at airport. First came to hospital, I go to Dr. Michael Wong Pak Kai station and find Wani as Dr. Michael nurse. Wani is so kind and very helpful from before I came there due she help me to register while the schedule is full. Also, she help me to find canteen & place to buy any goods and food. Fisrt consultation, Dr Mike is very kind since at Indonesia there's no doctor willing to help but here, Dr. Michael is looking for my record patiently and carefully. He also call his friend and do the tele consul with them to check on my condition. He recommend me to check my TB to Dr. Tan Lian Huat and check my Hepa on Dr. Wendy. All the doctor he recommend is very kind, nice, and patiently help me to solve my problem which can't be handle at indonesia. Dr. Tan Lian Huat find out that there is lyhm node near my aorta which have bigger size from 2 times of CT scan. Dr. Michael also let me decide carefully to do surgery or not since the surgery is very high risk and he said it is only for checking the lymh node, TB, and other issues but he said will not do anything about the bypass (if doing the surgery is the 4th surgery i do in short term). So, after long way of discussion, I decide to do the surgery but all which need to be done during surgery I let the doctors do since I trust them to do something better for me. Before surgery I have to hospitalized for about 1 week due to they need to add nutrition on me. I'm on standart single room at tower B and for me the room is nice and the facility is complete. Doctor came everyday and fisiotheraphy is also came everyday to help me doing well during surgery. During surgery, Dr. Mike found out that dense peritoneal adhesions, previous intestinal bypass was jejunocolic bypass lenght only 120cm from duodenojejunal, fistula 70cm , stricture at this site causing distal obstructions. Dr Mike is very skillfull to do the surgery, he take down the bypass and now my bowel is normal. He also cut the part which is already broken and must be take out. for me this is very helpful and make me normal. After the surgery, I place on HDU the facility is very complete and all the nurse is very helpful, responsible, kind, responsive. They also have some treatment and fisiotheraphy at HDU. For me the treatment is very helpful to recover faster. Conclusion is, all the doctor and nurse here is very helpful, patient, carefully checking on patient. Facility here is very nice, ambiance is relaxing, IPC also very helpful. Treatment here is careful, make me recovery very fast. I'm so thankful to God that let me come to this hospital and meet all the doctors and nurse. This is the best hospital I known since i've been to several hospital. This is already 3 month after the surgery and all is good. I also already back to control on the 2nd month after surgery and it is already good. All things is good now and I very thankful for all the doctor, nurse, and anyone who helps me a lot.
