Prof. Datuk Dr. Ismail Sagap is a distinguished Senior Lecturer and Consultant General and Colorectal Surgeon at UKM Kuala Lumpur, renowned for his pioneering work in surgical training across ASEAN. He has developed numerous training manuals and leads outreach apprenticeship programs for advanced colorectal surgical skills. As President of the Malaysian Society of Colorectal Surgeon and a council member of several prestigious regional surgical bodies, he is a key figure in advancing surgical education and practice. His expertise also extends to being the Medical Director of UKM Specialist Center and an examiner for international fellowship examinations.
