Dr. Saw Khay Yong is a pioneering Orthopaedic Surgeon and the founder of Kuala Lumpur Sports Medicine Centre (KLSMC). He is globally recognized for his innovative work in articular cartilage regeneration using stem cells, developing a unique protocol and holding patents for knee chondrogenesis. A recipient of the Norah Walker prize for orthopaedic radiology, his expertise extends to being a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon for the Football Association of Malaysia and the National Sports Institute. With 95% of his practice focused on arthroscopic knee and shoulder surgery, including complex reconstructions, he has been instrumental in advancing arthroscopic surgery in Malaysia.
