Dr. Chandramalar T. Santhirathelagan is a distinguished Consultant Ophthalmologist and Cornea and External Eye Disease Surgeon, recognized for her pioneering leadership in Malaysian ophthalmology and organ transplantation. She holds key roles including President of the Malaysian Association of Cell and Tissue Banking and Chairperson of the Scientific Steering Committee for Transplantation. Her expertise spans external eye diseases, anterior segment surgeries, cataract surgery, and corneal transplants, with significant contributions to the National Eyebank and Ministry of Health committees. Dr. Chandramalar is also an Honorary Lecturer and has published research on corneal imaging and rare ocular conditions, earning her the "Anugerah Perkhidmatan Cemerlang KKM" award.
