My father and I from Denpasar, Bali, Indonesia underwent a check-up, consultation, and therapy at Beacon Hospital in mid-June 2019. I personally had a general check-up, including an endoscopy, handled by Dr. Chong. In the imaging department, the X-ray, abdominal ultrasound, and head and neck MRI were handled by Dr. Ho. I also consulted with several specialists at Beacon Hospital, including: ENT Specialist Dr. Raymond, Eye Specialist Dr. Ong, Oncology Specialist Dato' Dr. Ibrahim, Neurology Specialist Dr. Hoo, and Diabetes Specialist Dato' Dr. Anuar. My father, who was diagnosed with prostate cancer, underwent 12 sessions of radiotherapy at Beacon Hospital using the latest radiotherapy equipment, the Varian Halcyon. The specialists who treated my father were Oncology Specialist Dato' Dr. Ibrahim and Urology Specialist Dr. Siva. The examinations and therapies at Beacon Hospital utilized the latest equipment and machines, including MRI, PET Scan, and radiotherapy. The waiting rooms for patients consulting with specialists were very comfortable, clean, and tidy, with coffee, tea, and cookies provided in each waiting area. We received excellent and friendly service from the doctors, nurses, registration staff, cashier department, Ibu Adah, Ibu Meilka, and even the security guards at Beacon Hospital. Dr Ho Shu Fen is one of a kind! Very warm, jovial, chatty and such an expert in her field!! I'm so incredibly blessed to be her patient. I have Thyroid Eye Disease (TED) which makes one eye protrude (proptosis) and the other eye droop (ptosis). The droopy eye blocked half of my vision and I looked hideous with an uneven eyes. We decided to do ptosis surgery because that will make significant change to the overall look and it'll make my eyes look symmetrical again. I was completely blown away by the outcome of the surgery :) In just three weeks, my eyes now look completely normal. I did ptosis surgery on my right eyes with Dr Ho on 5th aug 2022.I had droopy eyes for years and last year it became more obvious until left side of my eye are bigger than right eye .Whenever I meet up with family and friends, most of them will notice and ask why one side of my eye look smaller.I became more concern whenever others look at my eyes.After ptosis surgery my eyes became symmetrical and look natural.Everyone is amazed with the changes whenever they see me. Two years ago my right eye drooped out of sudden (especially when I’m tired) and it has disturbed my confident and life. I thought wearing contact lenses worsen it so I did lasik surgery@ Optimax TTDI and after the surgery my right droopy eye worsen. I went to few eye specialists and they all suspected me in having Myasthenia Gravis thus refer me to Neurologists. I did all the tests for Myasthenia Gravis such as antibody test, Brain and Orbit MRI test , RNS , CT thorax. All the tests are tested negative, except thymus hyperplasia found on my chest. Neurologists gave me some medicine to ease the symptoms of Myasthenia Gravis such as Mestinon but it doesn’t help much while giving me side effects like muscle twitching and muscle cramp. Then I stop taking the medicine and was being advised to wait for 2-3 years to see if I found any other symptoms during the period. (Else I can go for plastic surgery) Until I meet Dr Ho Shu Fen for saving my right eyelid that has been droopy for past two years ( I should’ve do it earlier as ptosis is making my eyebrow imbalance as I used to use eyebrow muscles when I could not open my eyes). Dr Ho found out that my case might be due to muscle weakening as I been wearing contact lenses for the past 12 years and I think it might be worsen after lasik surgery as muscle might be teared when they’re using the clip to fix my eye position. Then Dr Ho performed ptosis surgery on my right eye, the surgery goes perfectly and my eyes finally look normal now. Dr Ho even gave me some good advices and I am forever grateful. Her expertise, care, and professionalism made all the difference. I highly recommend Dr. Ho Shu Fen and the team ! Now I got my confident back, Thank you Dr Ho ☺️

I was indeed fortunate and grateful to have my eye lid surgery done by Dr Ho Shu Fen. There was no bleeding at all after the surgery, unlike my previous surgery in 2018 by another medical professional, post surgery my left eye was bleeding that i had to be admitted again to fix the problem. That was my fear before Dr Ho operated on me due to my unpleasant experience the previous time but i was so relieved and thankful that she did such a fine and super job, so skillful, caring and professional that made my post surgery smooth and fast recovery.
