Dr. Ong Shong Meng is a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon and Paediatric Orthopaedic Surgeon at Sunway Medical Centre in Sunway City. He specializes in both adult and child orthopaedic operations (excluding spine surgery), including total hip and knee replacements, and trauma. He is highly qualified with extensive training and experience in the UK, holding an MBChB (1993) from the University of Glasgow and a DM (2005) from the University of Leicester. He also has FRCS (1998) and FRCS (T & O) (2006) qualifications from Glasgow. Dr. Ong has held numerous consultant positions in the UK, including at Kings Mill Hospital, Sheffield Children's Hospital, and Queens Medical Centre, University of Nottingham, before joining Sunway. He is also a Fellow of the British Orthopaedic Association and a member of the British Society for Children's Orthopaedic Surgery and the British Limb Reconstruction Society. His experience is underscored by awards including the Best Clinician Young Investigator / Research awarded by the British Orthopaedic Research Society in 2001. He is fluent in English, Malay, and Cantonese.
