Nevertheless, im so grateful to the nursing care at Chemotherapy department and also to the medical enquiry team for all the assistance rendered till date. My mum was diagnosed with brain lesions when she was in Miri. We decided to bring her to Beacon for full body check up, and she was diagnosed with Lung Cancer (+brain lesions). My mum did PET scan and Lung needle biopsy at Beacon hospital. The hospital staffs are helpful and work efficiently. My mum loves the environment here. I was introduced to my oncologist Dr Tho Lye Mun 7 years ago when I had my metastasis breast cancer. I am feeling blessed to make the right choice to come to Beacon Hospital since then. Dr Tho gave me full confidence and assurance in my treatment plan, he helped me to apply for targeted drugs compassionate programs, he always try to save cost for patients, knowing each and every patients needs is vital as a responsible and caring doctor. His clinic’s nurses are very helpful especially Ms Wong. Beacon hospital is the only hospital so far which provide light refreshments for patients and visitors.Healthy meals for daycare cancer patients too. I like their system from registration counter till payment counter, quite smooth and organised but nowadays, que might be longer due to big increase in patients here. I am very satisfied with the imaging department, very efficient staff and nurses, comparatively, they charge lower than other hospitals too. I am thankful to my oncologist Dr Tho and Beacon hospital . Continue to be the best for cancer patients 🙏🏻

I’m writing on behalf of my sister in law who has passed on recently. She has been a patient at Beacon Hospital since 2015 when she was diagnosed with breast cancer. The doctors who had treated her were Dato Dr Mohamed Ibrahim, Dr. Lum and Dr Lee Foo Chiang who did surgery on her brain, Dr Tho was her oncologist till her passing. Thanks to the advance and up to date cancer treatment at Beacon Hospital. And lastly Dr Goh who treated her when she complained of epilepsy symptoms and fluid in her lungs. They have been very helpful to her and provided her with the best treatment available. She is especially happy with the food at the canteen and always tells me that it’s safe, healthy and flavourful, and she was very happy when her follow-up appointments coincides with lunch time, she would have very good appetite. When she was admitted to the hospital last month and was drained of all her energy because of the strong antibiotics, she told me she wanted to eat more fish/protein to build back her immune system, and told Nany, the head of F&B, that she wanted more fish in her porridge and was very happy that her request was met. As for me, I did my health screening blood test at Beacon Hospital last year and was pleasantly surprised by the friendly and efficient PR staff
