I have a great experience with Dr Teh Yeon Chiat, a well known Dermatologist at Sunway Medical Centre Damansara. She is a very patience and detailed person in explaining my skin's condition. Can feel that she is a nice Patient-centered Skin Consultant. Her CA Abigail is very responsive in guiding me with my 1st time new appointment here. Staff nurse Senny also very helpful during the treatment process. Dr Yong Mei Ching, a Consultant Pulmonologist/Respiratory physician is also a great consultant in treating my uncle's lung infection. I will definitely recommend both dedicated Consultants for my friends and families!

[Emergency Dept & Admission] Yee Von from emergency dept was very helpful. Her service struck me even when i was not myself (very sick). My husband was parking the car and i was at the emergency to register myself. I couldnt take out my ic from wallet and when i show her my wallet, she took it out for me. At the point where all your energy is exerted for the pain, and not to taking out cards from wallet (i know, it’s so dramatic but it happens!) what she did was so thoughtful and i secretly look at her name tag. I hope i got it right cause when i write this, it’s a 5 days old memory (and im still admitted) My experience being warded was so smooth. Maybe bcs it’s new? My husband (who was not sick) was in awe with the facilities & ambience of the hospital. [Staff Nurses] My needs are met almost immediately when i rung the bell. Nurses are kind and thoughtful (they would ask if im ready for them to come in cause i need to wear tudung when the staff is male). My veins are slightly small and hard to find. So when they found it, the female nurses would be so gentle when pushing in the meds. But male nurses 😂😂 i mean they are gentle too! But male-gentle kind yknow (it was not gentle for me) so i tahan the pain anyways. It was one time, so i dont mind so much. My room was near the nurses counter. One day i had to fast very long hours, i could hear the nurse calling radiology dept to ask for my turn cause i was hungry already (i fasted for 12 hours that day for the CT scan). She immediately felt bad for me after the call bcs it has been delayed again and was worried how to tell me about it (i heard everything from the room and was just laughing with my husband cause i know she felt so bad for me) i can remember how devastating it was for her to break the news for me as she says “weh dia tak makan dari pagi wehhh 😩😩😩” i was hungry, but knowing that the nurses care for me in that tone, and it’s not like fasting is something foreign for me, i was okay with it. I suppose if the patient is not used to fasting, it’d probably turn out to be something else. [Inpatient Facilities] Basic inpatient stuff like toothbrush and toothpaste is normal. But actual shower gel, shampoo & conditioner? That’s extra. Yknow how some places would just use 2in1 or some greenish or yellowish body gel. Then when you’re desperate, you wash your hair anyways and your hair goes dry? Not in my case (well i was admitted for 5 days). My hair stays soft and smells nice. [Doctors] I was attended by 2 drs (maybe it’s going to be 3 since im still admitted). Both dr yong & dr ilham was thorough with their explanation with me. All the procedures done was smooth and very thoughtful of my ask as well. Overall, if my insurance remains this hospital as one of their panel hospital, i would definitely repeat my visitation here.

Dr. MH Yong saw me almost immediately after i registered as walk-in. He identified a torn retina, which i was not aware of, a serious condition that needed surgery asap or run the risk of partial blindness if delayed. He provided me with a referral letter to an approriate specialist qualified to perform this surgery at its sister hospital in sunway. He urge me not to delay or book apppintment, but to present his referral letter direct to eye centre sunway on the same day to be seen to with priority. And Dr. Yong gave me a sizable discount on his first visit consultation fee, which nearly offset the hospital charges incurred for that initial visit. Best of all, he followed up a few days later from his own mobile direct to mine to find out if i was seen to properly eventhough i wasn't his patient for treatment. Kind generous, professional & caring. That is dr. MH Yong. Thank you and he has my highest regards & commendation. Sunway hospital appointment system & process is seriously dysfunctional. Sunway hospital management should dump existing & start again. In the mean time, do not rely on the online appointment system. Either walk in or call in to book appointment directly with clinic nurse, not the online sys.

I want to express my deepest gratitude to Dr. Yong for the outstanding care he provided to my mother during her cataract treatment and surgery. Dr. Yong was incredibly patient and thorough in explaining her eye condition and the surgical procedure. He took all the time needed to answer our questions and address our concerns, which was immensely reassuring during a stressful time. His ability to explain complex medical information clearly and kindly made a huge difference for both me and my mother. Most importantly, the surgery itself went exceptionally well. Dr. Yong's skill and expertise resulted in a minimally painful procedure for my mother, and her recovery has been smooth. We are so relieved and grateful for the positive outcome. Dr. Yong is a very good doctor, very patient, and explains the patient's eye condition very clearly, while also providing very good treatment plans. In my life, I have encountered a doctor for the first time who proactively contacts patients via WhatsApp and follows up on their condition, which truly touched me. Dr. Yong has very advanced instruments and equipment. The young lady who performed the dry eye test for me, Emily, was also a very meticulous and kind young lady. She knew I had just used lubricating eye drops and was worried the first test might not be accurate, so she asked me to wait a few more minutes and performed the test again. At Dr. Yong's, I saw the true appearance of my meibomian glands and realized how severe the atrophy and blockage of my meibomian glands were. I also learned that my tears evaporate faster than others', and finally understood why my eyes were so dry... I am very grateful for Dr. Yong's proactive treatment, and also very grateful to the young lady who performed the meibomian gland and tear film tests for me.
