Dr. Umi and the team did a very good job. I had SMILE over my right eye, and LASIK over my left eye (due to too high power correction - unable to do SMILE). Dr is very gentle during the op and I didn't feel much pain but just abit uncomfortable post op (but bearable). Now it's 1 month post op, I achieved what I want - spec free for routine daily living and work. Indeed my left eye works better with leftover power - 0.25 (LASIK), right eye - 0.75 (SMILE). So might need a spec if you need to see far vision like during conference. Nothing is perfect and eye vision is dynamic. So I totally understand the imperfection. Anyway, I'm grateful now for spec free. If I have extra time, will try to do a youtube video for my LASIK experience. 😊

I had my ReLeX SMILE at Sunway Eye Center by Dr Umi 2 weeks ago. It was a great experience, compared to another eye center in Bukit Jalil. The ReLeX SMILE eye examination in Bukit Jalil was disappointing (Consultation was rushing, not much details of the eye procedure & inexperienced optometrist). In contrary, in Sunway eye center, Dr Umi was very patient to go through all the details, answered my doubts one by one, and checked my eyes carefully. Doctor found out blocked oil glands in my eyes, so she prescribed me medicine and showed me how to do warm compress, so that I can do it at home (Unlike another eye center, which want me to do eye spa at another RM350/session). Not only that, to make sure my eyes are fit for the procedure, Dr Umi asked me to come back visit for multiple times and these visits FOC (included in the full eye examination). The optometrist, Siew Peng was very professional, detailed and patient-centered. During eye checking, all details and queries are answered very well. On the procedure day itself, i was informed of the medications prescribed, cautions to take note after procedure and who to contact after procedure if anything gone wrong. Also, they explained the details & process of the ReLeX SMILE procedure for 3 times before the real laser came to my eyes. I was really at ease during the procedure because i know what to expect & what to do. not only that, Dr Umi will keep talking to you throughout the whole procedure to make sure you are doing good. I can see quite clear right after the laser. After I went home, the optometrist even called me up to make sure my eyes are doing fine. The redness, tearing, tinging sensation and discomfort gone off at least 50% the next day wake up. On second day after procedure, almost all eyes discomfort are gone, just that i need to apply eye drops constantly and cannot use my eye too much on gadgets. All in all, kudos to the whole team! The overall experience was beyond expectations. I'm glad that I had visited Sunway Eye Center and had the procedure done here.

If you are currently doing research in where you should get your lasik done, i think you have come to the right place here in SMC. After comparing to a few famous eye centers in klang valley, I had my relex smile procedure done with DR.Umi in September 2021 with a promotion of RM10,888 not inclusive of the consultation fees. The staffs who attended on me were very friendly and carries out their duties well. The entire process was done systematically and professionally. I was briefed clearly on the choices of Lasik offered to me. They weren't pushy or make you feel obligated in doing lasik with them. Besides that, DR Umi had this sense of humor and fun personalities that can make you feel calm while you are feeling all nervous throughout the surgery. You know that you are in good hands and totally have faith in them because of the constance reassurance given by Dr. Umi. My eyesight was L-4.25/R-4.50 and after the 1 month follow up checked up. My eyesight was very good with my left eye and right eye just left with 25 astigmatism. I can see things clearly right after i did the surgery and its normal to have glares and my eyes are a little bit sensitive towards lights especially car headlights during nighttime. Other than that i have no issue at all.( fingers crossed) Its a well known Hospital with a good reputation and also with many professional Drs and optometrists here. Therefore, by choosing to get your lasik done here is absolutely the best choice. I am satisfied with the results and overall treatment and i would definitely recommend people to get your Lasik done here in SMC..
