I was hospitalised in June and Oct 2023 and March this year for shoulder surgeries at Columbia Asia Setapak, and I cannot express enough how grateful I am for the exceptional care I received from the entire hospital staff. I would like to extend my deepest gratitude to the orthopaedic surgeon Dr. YS Yong, whose dedication and expertise always made me feel confident that I was in the best hands. Am also grateful to the anaesthetists, Dr. Joyce Tien and Dr. Rajes, whose reassuring manner made it less daunting when going through the surgeries, and the professionalism and skill made the waking-up process after each surgery incredibly smooth, for which I am immensely thankful. Would also like to express my sincere thanks to Dr Sindhu for her concerns & comforting words. My apologies for not being a very compliant patient. During my hospital stays, the nursing team provided outstanding care. Their attentiveness and compassion made a significant difference in my recovery. A few names that I could remember were Fairuz, Mani, Nor Izzatul Annis, among others. One of them whose name I could not remember but was very grateful to for helping me with the IV line which became swollen and painful. Her skill and assurance was very much appreciated. A special mention goes to Muhamad Azmin from the catering team. His attentiveness to small details in my dining needs was greatly appreciated, having gone out of his way to ensure that I was able to enjoy my meals. His helpfulness and cheerful demeanor also brightened my days and added a personal touch to the excellent service provided by the catering staff. Above all, I am most grateful to the wonderful physiotherapy team who has always demonstrated professionalism and dedication towards all their patients. My recovery journey started with the lovely cheerful physio Syaza, who first treated me before my surgeries, helping me greatly with the exercises and various therapies for the shoulder. After the surgery, Azie took over my rehab and has been treating me for the past ten months. Azie's commitment to my recovery has been truly exceptional. She consistently went above and beyond to ensure that I made steady progress, always finding innovative ways to accelerate my recovery, and varying and adjusting her approaches where necessary to ensure that pain and discomfort were minimal, while pushing me to go further. Beyond her technical skills, Azie provided invaluable emotional support. During moments when I felt discouraged and frustrated by the slow pace of my recovery, she offered gentle encouragement and unwavering patience. Her positive attitude and belief in my ability to recover were incredibly motivating and helped me stay committed to my rehabilitation. Thanks again to the best physio team and especially Azie in helping me throughout my recovery journey. I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to my Orthopaedic Surgeon, Dr. Sharizan and all of her outstanding team attended to me ESPECIALLY Akka Sri Sasikala and Senior Staff Nurse Aisyah for the exceptional care and kindness shown to me throughout my treatment at Columbia Asia Setapak. Every time I step into Columbia Asia, I genuinely feel a sense of comfort and reassurance. From the reception staff right through to the final stages of care, the service has always been professional, warm, and attentive. It truly makes a difference when a patient feels seen, heard, and cared for at every level. Recently, my slipped disc condition flared up again and at that time my previous doctor, Dr. Yong, was unavailable. Looking back now, I believe this was Allah’s way of introducing me to Dr. Sharizan. She is incredibly sweet, graceful, and gentle, yet very confident and reassuring in her approach. Her explanations were clear, her manner was calming, and I felt completely safe under her care. Thank you, Doctor, for treating me with such compassion and professionalism. I would also like to sincerely commend the Physiotherapy Team! They are truly amazing individuals. Their hands work tirelessly every day; they are always “hands full,” attending to patients with dedication, patience, and genuine care. The effort, energy, and consistency they show in helping patients recover do not go unnoticed. Thank you to everyone at Columbia Asia for creating such a positive healing environment. Also recognizing his clinic nurse, Punidah another good soul whom extended her warm assistance from day one I came into Columbia Hospital( Setapak) with pains. After warded, ward nurse Farhana b Ismawi is a very dedicated, understanding and responsible nurse, been taking care of me well over my few days stay in Columbia Asia Setapak….from 13 till 18 Dec 2024 at level 2, Room 91A. Not forgetting her good team at MD4 that supported me well day and night 👍🏼👍🏼❤️‍🩹

Room 62 | Warded from 3rd - 8th Oct 2025. My husband just had surgery for ACL, MCL, PCL & Meniscus on right knee by Dr YYS, orthopaedic doctor with 20 years of experience in this hospital and recommended. physiotherapy team & nurses treated very well during stay and the food was also have a lot of variety to choose from. Ward 93B, warded for 5days because of TRO Lumbar PID Just got discharged today, so far I'm very satisfied with the service and facilities. Room is great, food is delicious and many choices of meals that I can choose. The nurses also very nice really taken care of me while I'm warded.
