Good service, from Vara and Dr. Gow

I recently went to KPJ Kuching with my mom, who was experiencing abdominal pain. We consulted Dr. Goh, and I must say, the experience left a positive impression on me. From the start, Dr. Goh asked many questions because my mom has a complex medical history. He explained the treatment plan thoroughly, both in Chinese and English, which made it easier for us to understand. I noticed my mom repeated some questions and the doctor patiently answered them each time in a gentlemanly manner. What stood out to me was his attentiveness. He even waited for my sister, who was collecting medication from the car park, to ensure the correct medication name was given before proceeding. After that, we moved on to the scans and blood tests. Yes, it took quite some time to complete everything, but I understand it’s because we were not the only patients at the hospital. Since my mom was fasting for a long time, I kept asking if the blood test and scan results were ready. Finally, we met Dr. Goh again, and he explained his plan based on the results he had received. He took the time to obtain consent in front of us after giving a clear explanation. Even when my mom repeated her questions, he responded patiently every single time. From my perspective, if you ask the right questions, the doctor or hospital staff will answer them clearly. I would like to thank Dr. Goh and the hospital team for their swift actions to make my mom feel comfortable during her stay. There’s no point in becoming a “keyboard warrior” if you don’t ask the right questions on the spot. If I’m not mistaken, this hospital also has customer service staff who are available to assist patients and their families. Oops! I forgot to mention that we also used insurance.
