From the very beginning until the delivery was completed, we were under the care of Dr. Arlis, and I truly feel grateful for the way he handled everything. His medical approach was not only professional but also deeply respectful and humane. Every decision was clearly explained in detail — including the options available, the risks, and the benefits. What stood out the most to me was how he respected our decisions as parents. We never felt pressured. Instead, we felt involved, heard, and treated as partners in the process rather than just patients. That level of communication gave us a great sense of reassurance during such an emotional and important moment in our lives. The nurses at KPJ Sentosa also deserve special recognition. They were warm, patient, and genuinely supportive. As new parents, we had many uncertainties, but they generously shared their experience and practical knowledge — from proper baby handling techniques to breastfeeding guidance and tips for managing the first nights with a newborn. Their kindness and willingness to educate made a significant difference in our confidence as first-time parents. For pediatric care, we were attended by Dr. Aida, and our experience with her was equally positive. She did not simply perform medical check-ups; she also took the time to educate us about newborn care. Her explanations were clear, thorough, and easy to understand. She created a comfortable space where we felt encouraged to ask questions. More than just receiving medical information, we felt equipped with valuable knowledge for this new chapter of parenthood. Overall, our experience at KPJ Sentosa was truly satisfying — not only in terms of medical professionalism but also in the personal care and respect shown throughout the journey. maternity ward As an Indonesian expatriate working in Malaysia, giving birth to my first baby away from my family was something I was honestly very nervous about. But my experience at KPJ Sentosa completely changed that feeling. From the moment I was admitted to the maternity ward, I felt genuinely cared for. Being far from home during such an important time can feel lonely, but every doctor and nurse made me feel safe, supported, and never alone. My ObGyn, Dr. Chua Wang Ching (Arlies), is truly amazing. I don’t even know how to put it into words🥺 she is that good. Her calmness, kindness, and the way she explains everything made me feel so reassured throughout my pregnancy and delivery. I’m beyond grateful to have had her as my doctor. During my stay in the maternity ward, it was only me and my husband, without any family around. That’s why the support from the nurses meant even more to us. To all the nurses in the maternity ward (I wish I could mention each of you by name), thank you so much for your attentiveness and quick responses. Had a normal delivery under Dr Arlies Chua and the assistance of midwives (Norashidah, Fatin, Rayhan, Nik and Flora). The first to final check up with Dr Arlies went well as she answered all my queries clearly. As a First time mom, I have so many concerns to have my delivery journey smooth. With the gynae expertise, I had a very good experience giving birth here. The aim not to experience trauma after giving birth was achieved! Dr Arlies went all beyond her job scope by soothing and reassuring my journey here in KPJ Sentosa KL. She was excellent in decision making. Her selfless attribute & empathy made her outstanding in her career. I totally recommend her to deliver your baby! My child was under the care of Dr Aida who were another example of amazing Dr in this hospital. She explained everything clearly and all the information based on research. It’s very important to have mutual understanding between parents and the paedtrician. I would also like to thank Dr Yani who were in charge with the epidural procedure. He was very calm and I barely remember the pain while he did the process. The anesthesia worked well too! The cost was affordable for a private hospital in KL. They have a good delivery package to consider. Unlike other private hospitals, they don’t have minimum checkup if you want to deliver here. Overall, I had a memorable experience with this hospital. This is a boutique hospital with world class service. Well done KPJ Sentosa KL. You have trained your staff very well.
