I’m beyond grateful to have had her as my doctor. During my stay in the maternity ward, it was only me and my husband, without any family around. That’s why the support from the nurses meant even more to us. We had such a wonderful experience with Dr Chua at KPJ Sentosa KL Specialist Hospital. This is our third child, and we have experienced two other hospitals in Malaysia before, so we can honestly say this experience was on another level altogether. From the very first conversation, both my wife and I felt comfortable, calm, and reassured by Dr Chua’s gentle and caring personality. She is incredibly kind, informative, soft-spoken, and professional. The way she handled the entire birth process was so smooth and organized that my wife felt safe and relaxed throughout the journey. What touched us even more was how warmly she welcomed our second child during our visits. Dr Chua created such a beautiful bond with our daughter that she always wanted to accompany us for every baby checkup. That warmth and kindness are rare to find. The hospital itself feels like a 5-star hotel, but what impressed me the most was the level of care from the nurses and staff. Every single nurse was caring, attentive, respectful, and always smiling. I was going in and out frequently, asking many questions, and they always tried their very best to assist me patiently and sincerely. Compared to our previous experiences in other hospitals, the difference here was very clear. The professionalism, hospitality, and genuine human care at KPJ Sentosa truly stand out. My wife and I recently had the privilege of being under the care of Dr. Chua Wang Ching (Arlies) at KPJ Sentosa KL, and we cannot express enough gratitude for her exceptional service. From our pre-natal to post-natal checkups, Dr. Chua demonstrated immense professionalism, empathy, and expertise. Most impressively, with her meticulous care and highly skillful guidance, my wife successfully achieved a normal delivery of our beautiful baby girl, despite having a history of a previous LSCS (Cesarean). Facilitating a safe and successful normal birth after a cesarean requires incredible clinical skill, patience, and dedication. We felt completely safe and supported throughout the entire journey. KPJ Sentosa is incredibly fortunate to have such an outstanding Obstetrician & Gynaecologist on their team. I truly hope the hospital management recognizes her invaluable contributions and the high standard of care she provides to her patients. Highly recommended!

I've seen a handful of OBGYN's in the past, but my experience with Dr. Arlies Chua has been so good that I have recommended all my friends. I was referred to her and admitted here at the end of May to have a large fibroid removed via laparoscopy and her level of care and attention to detail has been incredible, especially with the complications and concerns I had. She's a specialist in Mullarian Anomalies and has plenty of experience with high risk patients with heart conditions. My surgery went from the expected 3hrs to 7hrs in total and despite that, everything was executed perfectly. I learned that Dr. Arlies practices the ERAS protocol for faster & better recovery post-op and my healing was a breeze. Within a week I was 80% back to normal and a month later, I don't even feel like I've had surgery. I've seen her for multiple checkups since, and each time I'm blown away by how hard she works - you can really feel she genuinely cares for each of her patients and is passionate about her ability to help us, always insisting that we have a direct line to call or text her for anything. She's also personally helped me with some insurance disputes which not many doctors would bother with. Additionally, I have to praise the quality of service from the senior nurses who took care of me during my 3 nights stay in the women's ward. On top of the exceptional level of care, they are such a joy to be around, always cracking jokes and going the extra mile. Apparently the hospital has started doing some upgrades to the women's wards, which were already really good but could have used a bit of a refresh in the bathrooms, which I'm told was the main focus of the renovation. Hope they improve the aircond too though, as it fluctuates between freezing and hot even if you don't touch the controls. The hospital has an app which I was reluctant to download at first, but actually turned out to be really useful for all appointments, billings, and prescriptions. As for some things that can be improved: Had some issues with the admin/accounts department having to correct my contact details multiple times, and perhaps this is a personal gripe but some of the hospital staff wear perfume that is way too strong that I have to wear a mask in the common areas. It's a small hospital, so maybe that's why it's more intense.
