My first time ever being admitted to a hospital. On the recommendation of friends, I chose OSC for my knee arthroscopy surgery. The main reason I chose it was because one of its attending doctors, Dr. Lee Chong Meng is a highly reputable and exceptionally skilled orthopedic surgeon in Malaysia. Dr. Lee has more than 30 years of experience and an excellent reputation, something I had heard repeatedly from my mother and several elders I know. That gave me great confidence to entrust the future “life” of my right knee to him. Before meeting Dr. Lee, I had consulted other doctors. They simply told me it was age-related degeneration and advised me to tolerate the minor pain until the day I would need a full knee replacement. However, during a consultation with Dr. Lee, after reviewing my previous reports, he suggested this minor procedure in hopes of avoiding—or at least delaying—the need for a major knee replacement surgery in the future. After careful consideration, I decided to accept his professional recommendation to repair my damaged meniscus. OSC is a mid-sized private hospital specializing in orthopedic. It does not have the overwhelming busyness of larger hospitals with all kinds of patients constantly passing through, yet it has the advantage of allowing the medical staff to focus more personally on each patient’s care. Resham Kaur Mehel, Patient Liaison Officer , who handled my admission arrangements, always wore a lovely smile and carefully helped organize my room. Since the single rooms were fully occupied, she thoughtfully arranged a window-side bed for me with warm sunlight shining in. During admission, she even took time to come by and make sure everything was fine. Even after I was discharged, whenever I needed some documents, she continued to assist me promptly and efficiently. Throughout my stay, Dr Subashini and Dr. Reena was also a very kind doctor—graceful, professional, and always smiling. Among the nurses who cared for me, Minder and Vinu were especially attentive, responsible, and cheerful. Minder in particular brought so much laughter to my few days in the hospital. She is also fluent in several languages, which is truly impressive. Whenever she was around, the ward felt brighter and full of sunshine. Dr. Avvinash is a doctor I would highly praise. Although he was not my main attending physician, he still gave me many helpful suggestions and carefully explained my condition. He is the kind of doctor who makes patients feel warm, comfortable, and reassured, giving them confidence and encouragement. Shanmugapriyaa – She always greets every patient with a warm smile and a gentle voice at all times. Although she alone is responsible for managing the doctor and patient’s scheduling and arrangements, she handles each matter professionally, calmly, and efficiently, always more than capable of managing the workload. Despite my repeated questions on many issues, she consistently answered me with patience and a smile. Sister Hemahl - She was highly professional and skillfully removed the stitches from my wound. She also warmly assisted her fellow colleagues, reflecting her caring nature, supportiveness, and genuine concern for those around her. Rita, the Patient Care Assistant, was another warm and dedicated caregiver. She delivered my meals, made my bed, and changed my ice packs with great care. Rita, the Patient Care Assistant, was another warm and dedicated caregiver. After the surgery, I chose to return to this hospital for physiotherapy, and I believe that was my another fortunate decision. The four staff members: Bryan Leong, Darrel Ezran, Pamela Melay, Shanti Ramasamy. They were truly professional, knowledgeable, humorous, friendly, and encouraging. They made my follow-up therapy sessions enjoyable and gave me confidence as I worked hard toward a faster recovery for my knee. Thank you to these wonderful doctors and caring staff members for giving me the best treatment and care in such a relaxed and reassuring environment. Thank you all taking care of me and love all of you!

5 STARS to Dr. Lee and his specialist team Private patient - purchased surgery package - highly recommended I have coped with extreme hip pain for over two years - I decided to opt for surgery having spent some time visiting other orthopaedic hospitals in the KL area. I had been given a personal recommendation for Dr.Lee from a family friend who had been his patient. She stressed how important patient health and infection risk is to Lee and his team. I am 68 years old, active and healthy. Prior to surgery I underwent a series of heart and blood tests and x-rays to satisfy Lee i was ready for surgery. I entered OSC on the 3rd September to prepare for surgery on the 4th. Firstly the ward and rooms are very private and well run by the nurses, food is a menu choice of Asian and Western. Generally the food is acceptable and nourishing intended for recovery of patient, however there is no problem bringing in home food. The day of the op - I met the anaesthetist Dr.Suba - who gave total reassurance with a confident smile and engages with the patient in an holistic experience that connects you. Dr Lee and his specialist team using the latest implants and surgical procedure replaced my total hip. In recovery I spent the 4th in my room with constant attention and post op care - a big thank you to the nurses and duty doctor. The 5th was a day confined to bed - I welcome this as a day to re-adjust and to recover from the anaesthesia. The 6th I met Brian the physio who helped me with basic simple exercises to assist the recovery , and I took my first steps. During the course of each and every day Dr Lee makes a visit in the morning to assess and discuss any issues. The patient reassured by his presence and even during public holidays Lee attended without fail. The 7th I had breakfast and an assisted shower ready for release. If, you have any orthopaedic needs and pain I wouldn't hesitate to discuss them with Lee..a dedicated professional with many years of experience and uses the latest implants and surgical techniques...I am very grateful, thank you Dr. And finally a thank you to all nursing staff especially Yuni and Rita and Shanti in Physio. I don't think I could have received as good a service in the UK. I made an informed decision - I urge you to. Andrew
