I am a patient with strabismus. When I noticed my eyes were misaligned and my strabismus was obvious in photos, I was reluctant to face this problem. After some time, I found my vision was blurry, I saw double images, and it was even more apparent in photos. That's when I gathered the courage to search online for strabismus and its treatment methods. Through the internet, I learned about iSEC Eye Specialist Centre. When I made my appointment, I wasn't sure if I truly had strabismus, so the front desk arranged a general consultation for me. As soon as I met the doctor, they were very certain I had left eye strabismus and referred me to Dr. Choong Yee Fong. Upon meeting Dr. Choong, she quickly and professionally assessed the degree of my strabismus and outlined the solutions. I underwent a minor surgery on May 31st. The nurses and anesthesiologist there were very professional and friendly. The day after the surgery, when the gauze was removed, I put on my glasses and found my vision was perfectly straight. Looking in the mirror, I could no longer see my eye turning inward. I was amazed. My strabismus problem was resolved with this minor surgery. I want to thank Dr. Choong Yee Fong for helping me solve this issue and restoring my confidence. Dr. Choong told me that strabismus is actually quite common, but many people are afraid of surgery or unwilling to face it, thus missing out on treatment. Recently I had cataract surgery at ISEC. I am very happy with the service and doctor at ISEC. Like most first time cataract patients, in the beginning I did have a lot of concerns regarding how the surgery is conducted and whether mine can be successful. Since I totally lost vision on my right eye due to cataract, I decided to go ahead with cataract surgery. First thing is to find a doctor with good experience of cataract surgery. After searching on internet I found several places where cataract surgery can be conducted, I finally selected ISEC because of convenience and selected Dr. Choong because of his reputation. I am happy that I selected a good doctor. He is nice and very skillful. Actually all the staff at ISEC I met were nice and professional. Eventually I had surgery on both eyes. Prior to surgery, I was wearing progressive eyeglasses. To eliminate eyeglasses postsurgery, I chose monovision option. Dr. Choong selected right IOLs for me. After surgery, my right eye can see objects clearly from about 1m to far distance; my left eye can read computer and mobile phone clearly at about half meter distance. Although it is monovision, I do not really feel it unless I cover up one eye to realize one eye is clear while the other is not.
