I had an excellent experience at UKM Specialist Centre (UKMSC) Level 7 when bringing my mother for her appointment with Prof. Dr. Mohamed Faisal Abdul Hamid, Senior Consultant Pulmonologist. Even before the appointment, we received several reminder notifications via phone, which were very helpful. The reminders already included information on the parking area. It would be even better if they could also include which lift to use and the exact clinic location on Level 7, especially for first-time visitors. My mother’s appointment was scheduled for 10:00 AM, and we were pleasantly surprised to be called into the consultation room at 9:45 AM, reflecting the centre’s efficiency and respect for patients’ time. From arrival until payment, the entire visit took only about one hour. Registration, blood pressure assessment, consultation, and payment were all smooth and well organised. I also appreciated the real-time updates sent to our phone throughout the visit, keeping us informed at every stage of the patient journey. A special thank you to Prof. Dr. Mohamed Faisal Abdul Hamid for his professionalism and compassionate care. My appreciation also goes to Nurse Aina, Khalifah Khalil, the UKMSC Marketing team, and all the staff at Level 7 for their friendliness and excellent service. One suggestion would be to include the estimated number of patients waiting ahead in the phone updates while waiting for the consultation. This would help patients and caregivers better plan their time, whether to have breakfast, take a short restroom break, or attend to other personal needs without worrying about missing their turn. Improving the lift waiting experience during peak hours would also further enhance the overall patient experience. Overall, the patient journey was efficient, smooth, and patient-centred. I would definitely return if needed and highly recommend UKMSC to my family and friends.
