A pioneering Consultant Physician and Geriatrician with over three decades of experience, Dr. Yau Weng Keong is instrumental in advancing geriatric medicine in Malaysia. He led the significant expansion of Geriatric Services within the Ministry of Health and formerly headed the Department of Medicine at Hospital Kuala Lumpur. His expertise spans dementia, falls, and geriatric rehabilitation, complemented by a strong commitment to education and research, including developing Malaysian Clinical Practice Guidelines and initiating university programs. Dr. Yau is a dedicated advocate for caregiver support and chairs the NSR Geriatric Subspecialty Evaluation Committee.
