I first met Dr Lavitha during my 2nd trimester of pregnancy through recommendation and I never felt more at ease. She was attentive and patient in explaining all details during each follow up and scans. Dr Lavitha did not encourage or push me towards caesarean unlike many other doctors in private practice, rather she explained the pros and cons of both caesarean and normal birth, giving me the options to choose freely. She went the extra mile when I had a complication due to an alergy reaction, giving me alternative solutions and also the assurance on what she will do on her part as a result of the complication. She was present during a small procedure to ensure I am well and firm with her gut instinct that saved my life. I am grateful to have met Dr Lavitha and would like to recommend anyone who is still looking for an O&G to make an appointment with her clinic. By God's will and Dr Lavitha's expertise that I am now a mum to a healthy, wonderful baby boy :)

I gave birth to my first child in December 2021. I found out I was pregnant in May and started regular visits with Dr. Lavi around October. Since returning to Japan was difficult due to the pandemic, I decided to give birth in Malaysia. Initially, I was anxious, but I was extremely satisfied with the warm hospitality, which was different from the atmosphere of Japanese hospitals, feeling very at home and supported. My wife speaks very little English, and my husband is not fluent either, but we were supported by two Japanese interpreters. They accompanied us during our visits and checked on us daily in our hospital room after the birth, allowing us to quickly resolve any concerns or uncertainties. Dr. Lavi seems to be an authority on ultrasound examinations; compared to ultrasounds at other hospitals, it was faster, clearer, and indeed impressive. They also provided attentive support for any questions or anxieties, patiently addressing everything, which put me at ease. When we mentioned our limited English proficiency to the local staff, they kindly spoke slowly and focused on single words. The support during hospitalization was also flexible, respecting our individual parenting approaches for each family, such as breastfeeding support (as Malaysia's culture leans towards formula feeding) and flexibility in the length of stay (as Malaysian hospitals often discharge patients after 2-3 days). While I don't know about childbirth in Japan or other hospitals, I believe those who are first-time mothers and completely new to this will feel reassured by the comprehensive support. I am very satisfied with giving birth at Gleneagles.

I consulted Dr Lavitha for my pregnancy and had an amazing experience. As my pregnancy had risk factor, Dr Lavitha made sure to highlight any risk at every stage of pregnancy without actually scaring me, unlike other doctors who had always scared me in the past about the risk factor. During my entire pregnancy, she never prescribed for any unnecessary medications, lab tests and she was prompt to answer all my queries, however basic the query was. For the actual delivery, She made sure to keep us informed beforehand on what to expect during delivery, which actually helped me ease out during labour. I would highly recommend Dr Lavitha for pregnancy. She would always be the coolest gynaecologist for me, and I am grateful to her for having a positive birthing experience.

We were lucky to have Dr Lavitha for our pregnancy and birth while living in Kuala Lumpur. She’s warm, listens, offers great advice and very thorough. She also made us very comfortable after a complicated birth with our first, and we had a great experience as a result for the birth of our second baby. We have recommended Dr Lavitha to friends and would do so for anyone having their baby in KL.

Had a really good experience with Dr Lavitha and team. She is so kind and thoughtful and very caring of her patients. She treated my 13 year old daughter on 2 separate occasions and fixed the issues she was having. Her before, during and after care was very good.
