Safely delivered my precious little human on 18/9/2025 💫 I would like to sincerely thank all the doctors involved and the entire midwifery team for their exceptional care throughout my pregnancy and delivery. My Obgyn, Dr Sharmini was always attentive, patient, and reassuring, ensuring I felt confident and well-informed at every stage. It’s always approachable, easy and comforting to have conversations with a doctor that feels like a friend. I was able to WhatsApp her any time of the day when I had some concerning questions. Delivery was smooth, calm and composed. I had 2nd deg perineal tear, thanks to her expertise, the sutures were so neatly done, healed faster than expected. Did my pregnancy detailed scan (one at 24 weeks & the other at 32 weeks) with the Maternal-Fetal Medicine Specialist, Dr Kartik Balaraman. Friendly doctor. Scans were thorough and well explained. His nurse, Veni was kind and welcoming too. The staff midwives (Sr Zaza, Sr Imelda, Sr Jamuna, Sr Lena, Sr Huda, Sr Agatha, Sr Azizah and a few more of them that were on duty during my admission from 17/9/25 - 19/9/25) were compassionate, supportive, and constantly present during labour, making an overwhelming experience feel safe and manageable. The anesthesiologist, Dr Nagappan who carried out the procedure seamlessly and professionally, felt little to no pain at all. The pediatrician, Dr Wong that attended my baby, ensuring she’s in good health. Promptly followed up the next day to ensure baby is doing well. Thanks to this wonderful team, I had a pleasant delivery. Highly recommend this entire team to any expectant mother seeking professional, compassionate, and dedicated care. Special mention to the staffs/receptionists at the Lobby front desk/information counter for always being helpful as well as greeting guests and patients with a warm smile. Overall, my husband and I are satisfied with the services provided by CAH Bukit Jalil.

The episode began when I found out my fibroids had grown larger and more numerous. The clinic advised me to seek referral to the hospital as soon as possible, especially since my HB reading was 8. My husband and I decided to go to Columbia Asia Hospital because it is close to our home, which would facilitate all arrangements. By the grace of Allah, the Most Gracious and Merciful, I was eventually introduced to a female doctor named Dr. Sharmini A/P Krishnan. (I had requested a female doctor to be my referring physician.) I was greeted with "hello madam" accompanied by a sweet and very friendly smile. This put me at ease, and I was able to recount everything from the beginning until my arrival here. Dr. Sharmini began her work as an experienced doctor. I listened to every word she said and began to understand each point. I started following all the steps recommended by the doctor before undergoing surgery. I was given medication to shrink the fibroids. I was also given medication to increase my blood count, and I underwent a Thalassemia test. After more than 2 months, I met with Dr. Sharmini and scheduled a date for surgery. Based on our discussion and her recommendation, I agreed to undergo a "Laparoscopic" surgery. The doctor explained why this surgical method was recommended. I understood her explanation, and finally, my husband and I agreed to proceed with the laparoscopic surgery. Alhamdulillah, by the grace of Allah, everything was made easy. As a patient, I feel that the laparoscopic surgical method is indeed the best. I experienced less pain after the surgery, the surgical method, the small incisions and scars, and the stitches dried quickly. I was also able to walk slowly and go to the toilet without assistance on the 3rd day after surgery. Thank you, doctor. I am grateful to have met a doctor who is an expert in the field of Laparoscopy at this hospital. I also observed the doctor's dedication in helping patients feel calm and providing the best suggestions and solutions for patients like me. The doctor is very responsible, and when I asked questions, she would always answer honestly, reply to my WhatsApp messages promptly, and every answer from the doctor was very helpful to me as a patient. The doctor's wave and smile gave me strength to recover and take care of my health going forward. One night, I experienced extreme abdominal pain that I couldn’t tolerate, so I went to Columbia Asia Hospital. I wasn’t sure what was causing the pain until Dr. Sharmini performed an ultrasound and discovered I had an ovarian cyst. Knowing that I needed surgery to remove the cyst made me scared and anxious, but Dr. Sharmini comforted me by explaining how common this procedure is. Although she is very experienced, she approached my case with care and consulted other specialists before proceeding. This reassured me that I was in safe hands. On the day of the surgery, everything went smoothly. Dr. Sharmini is incredibly skilled, and I am so grateful to have had that cyst removed. From start to finish, she was exceptionally caring; I didn't realize doctors could be this good until then. Thank you, Doctor.

Underwent laparoscopic ovarian cyst surgery with Dr Sharmini one week ago. It was my first experience being hospitalised and went under for surgery. Glad to meet a professional, dedicated, experienced & kind doctor. She explained very detailed about how my procedure will be done before the surgery so that I know what will be going on. During the surgery, it was going on so well. Expected surgery time is 3 hours but my case was easily done for less than 3 hours. I am under anaes so i dont know what happen to me in the OT room but I know i was being taken care of. And i know the surgery went very well. She is very talented & skillfull doctor. Since the surgery is laparoscopic, the scar is very minimal. The suture is very nicely done. It only looks like a small dot at my tummy. Overall, i am very satisfied with Dr Sharmini. She is the best doctor who knows how to get her job done, very professional with her patient but also very friendly. Will continue my follow up with her in the next 4 months. Hopefully next time the reason i will being seing her is ONLY for pregnancy related. 😁😆 Also, will recommended her for everyone who have gynae and women reproductive system problem (not just for pregnancy).
