In July 2023, I consulted Dr Ng Teck Siang, Otorhinolaryngology ENT, Rhinologist surgeon at KPJ Damansara for my case of severe deviated septum. After countless visits to numerical GPs, I thought to myself, why not consult a specialist? After further evaluation, he concluded that it was a Deviated Septum. A narrow airway has made it difficult for smooth oxygen flow. As time went on, it became harder to breathe. My body, out of the need to survive, began the habit of mouth breathing. If he did not discover that I had sleep apnea, there was a high chance that I might just expire while being asleep. He suggested me to opt for the surgery which I did.
